I'd like to think that I'm the most social person on earth, having been a flight attendant for the past 3 years of my life, but after that amazing stint of visiting new places and meeting new people, I've come to realize that I prefer basking in my thoughts and the company of loved ones, in particularly my newly acquired husband, Ed. That's right, we just got married after an 11-year courtship. :) Having said that, I'm not a complete hermit. I still do enjoy the company of others especially those who share the same travel passion as I do. After all, there's only so many people who can relate to my "oh, so what did you do in Kathmandu when you were there?"
I like creating experiences. Life's short. I lost my Dad in 2011 and if that has taught me anything, it is to create lasting experiences. That's why these days, you'll see me reading a completely new genre of book (I just finished the Fifty Shades trilogy and I loved it! Men should all be flawed like Christian Grey. They should.), armed with my trusty camera taking snapshots of anything (I'm no pro though), and baking something which I never thought I could; ie an apple pie. I cannot however, live without my Blackberry, lipbalm, purse, wedding band and a pen.
I love food. Looooove! I draw the line at rabbits though. They're bunnies! :( But give me something other than a bunny and I'm willing to try it. One of my more memorable food experiences was at this place in Johannesburg, South Africa called Carnivore that served exotic meats. I've discovered that gator meat, does indeed taste like chicken.
Having me and Ed as guests, first up, we're clean & tidy (Asian upbringing has instilled in us the importance of thinking of others), and most days, we'll be out gallivanting. Feel free to ask us anything and we'll do the same.
All in all, we're not complete weirdos and here's to more memorable life experiences. :)
