After graduating from the University North Carolina School of the Arts with a B.F.A., my classical ballet career led me to the Netherlands to dance for the Dutch National Ballet. Though I enjoyed many years in the dance world, I was tired of my feet aching; I now love combining my passions for travel, real estate, and visual story telling while trying to maintain a dancer’s discerning eye for aesthetics. From images hanging on my parent’s fridge to publications in travel magazines, I’ve been fortunate to shoot for clients in both Europe and the US.
As a freelance photographer based out of DC, I’ve had a lifelong desire to be submerged in different cultures, meet people of all walks of life, and eat bizarre foods (think scorpions at the Night Market in Beijing!) While my personal favorite escape is surfing remote warm- water breaks in Central America, I enjoyed working on this wonderful project for Airbnb as it allowed me to discover the many hidden subcultures that make up this diverse and often-mislabeled city of Washington, D.C.
