I am mexican, architect, love outdoor living, biking, sailing and architecture.
I love traveling and having the feeling of merging in with the place by not staying in a hotel.

The house was located in a great place next to great places in walking distance. Rodrigo organised the drop off of the keys perfectly and was really attentive.
The only this I would be aware of is that the area has a lot of building works at the moment so it is a little noisy during the day; but if the plan is to wake up and leave the house early to explore the city this is a great place to stay.
This was my first time to use airbnb for accommodation. I searched only a few days before the time of my stay. I was looking for a small apartment in the Roma Norte neighborhood of Mexico City.
Rodrigo answered my booking request promptly. When I arrived, I found that the photos on airbnb fairly represented the apartment. The description didn’t mention that it is on the fourth floor of a building without an elevator.
I was met by Rodrigo’s helper who let me in, explained the locks and lit the pilot light of the hot water heater. The hot water heater’s pilot light wouldn’t stay lit. I needed to relight it every time I needed hot water. Rodrigo sent his helper to adjust it many times but to no effect. This went on for two weeks of my four week stay. Finally, Rodrigo sent someone else who must have known how to fix it. I found dealing with this to be rather annoying and a sign of insufficient attention on Rodrigo’s part.
I love the neighborhood, but I would not recommend this apartment. I felt that the price was much to high for the quality of service that I received.
The apartment was in a perfect location for me for a week-long work trip. The bakery and nearby restaurants are great and it was easy walking distance to Reforma. There were a few small issues with the apartment itself. There is construction at the building directly across the back door - which didn't bother me because I was out working all day. The hot water also lasts no more than 2 minutes, so be prepared for quick showers! I also turned the gas on and off as needed to cook because otherwise it would smell like there was a small leak in the apartment.
When I arrived at the apartment a doorman was there to greet me and show me around. I was able to get settled in pretty quickly and was happy to find that the apartment was just as it was pictured on the site. There is construction next door but they only worked during the day and stopped by sundown so that wasn't an issue for me. It was easy to walk from the apartment to restaurants, different neighborhoods, and there was always good street food nearby. There's also a bakery and restaurant just downstairs. The apartment was just as it was pictured in the images, clean with towels, sheets, toilet paper, all provided for. I can't say enough good things about my experience there. Rodrigo was readily available via text message and aside from some problems with the wifi for a bit I can't say there were any big issues with the place. I would not hesitate to recommend the apartment.
Very cool apartment in a wonderful neighborhood. Rodrigo was responsive and accommodating - a great host!
Rodrigo's apartment is great! It's just like on the pictures, very beautiful und comfortable. Rodrigo was very helpful and also gave us some tips for the city. Also the apartment was easy to find and the neighborhood is more than nice and safe. The location is very good. There's a bar/coffeeplace downstairs, which is very nice too. I would definitely go again and recommend this place! we had a great time!
This was my first experience with an airbnb listing. The host, location, and apartment were great! Rodrigo was very quick to respond to any questions, and great to deal with. The location was perfect! Amazing coffee downstairs to start the day, and the doorman and gates kept the space feeling very secure. The metro, restaurants, bars, and incredible street food was all a quick walk from the front door. The apartment itself is clean, modern, and beautiful. Our friends in Mexico City, who are both architects, were blown away by the interior. I would highly recommend this space to travelers looking for a personal, unique stay in Mexico City.
We never met Rodrigo in person but the whole experience was straightforward - the building doorman let us in, and left us to it. Rodrigo was always quick to respond via AirBnB message, and provided helpful advice.
The apartment looks exactly as advertised, and was in a fantastic couple of blocks, in what feels like a transitioning neighbourhood. Very close to public transport, and delicious eating and drinking options (our favourite bar, bakery, cafe, and taco stand were all within these 2 blocks!).
We loved the apartment and location.
Potentially useful info is that it's quite light at night in the bedroom, and there's a bit of noise. This didn't bother us at all, but it might affect some people's sleep.
This apartment is beautiful and the pictures are true to what you get; it was the photos that made us swoon over this place and not worry too much about the guests' feedback about the mosquitoes and the musty smell and the lack of privacy, figuring that by now some of those easy-to-fix things would have been addressed...but they weren't, and we had the same issues. The construction workers can see in, a curtain would be a great help here. The mosquitos did keep us up one night and the net someone else mentioned was no longer there. And the musty smell is surely just a matter of it being an old (and gorgeous!) building, but you can't open the doors long enough to air it out because of the mosquitos--catch 22. The construction we were aware of as Rodrigo and other guests made it very clear, but we never would have guessed they'd be working from 8am until midnight on a Friday! This is of course something beyond Rodrigo's control but I would advise checking on the progress of the next-door project if you have any interest in some peace and quiet. If you plan to be sightseeing all day and out at the bars until past midnight, then the power tools and jack hammer won't bother you one bit! All in all we have a great time in this great city and loved the neighborhood, the nearby restaurants and food stands, and the proximity to other great barrios and the metro. It's a great spot and Rodrigo was very accommodating of our off-hours arrival and departure but I would advise future guests to check on the issues if you think any of them would put a damper on your stay.
Rodrigo's flat was comfortable, in a great location (walking distance to many tourist attractions) and situated above the most divine bakery. Rodrigo checked in with us soon after arrival, was responsive when we had questions, and helpfully recommended a fun event. The building had a well attended gated entry and the watchmen were very friendly and helpful whenever we had questions. We would definitely recommend Rodrigo's flat to future travelers to Mexico City.
Rodrigo and his group were great guests. They respected our home and belongings, and we would gladly invite them back!
