A beautiful place with incredible location
Excellent apartment in a great location. Comfortable and safe. The cafe and restaurant downstairs are both very cool. Owner is very good communicator. Would definitely stay here again!
Amazing apartment in a great location! Rodrigo was very accommodating during my stay.
My experience at Rodrigo's apartment was excellent. My stay in Mexico City was so great only beacause I had this place to call home for ten days. Location is INCREDIBLE. Right in the center of Roma Norte, in walking distance to cute coffee shops, trendy restaurants, and bookstores. Two blocks aways from Av Alvaro Obregon (where you can catch a cab to go anywhere in the city), two blocks away from the beautiful and pleasant Plaza Rio de Janeiro, and three blocks away from the Insurgientes metro stop (that can take you downtown).
The apartment itself is as seen in the pictures. Small but very comfortable and in good taste. The place was very clean, including sheets and towels. Wifi worked perfectly. The only thing to look out for is that this is a 3rd floor apartment with no elevator, as announced. I was concerned about the hot water, but after a few adjustments the boiler worked fine and we had very hot water throughout our stay.
I was received by Adan, Rodrigo's assistant, who showed me around the apartment and was very helpful. All throughout the stay I was in touch with Rodrigo through messages, and he was always extremely attentive and responsive to my needs.
I definetely reccomennd this place in Mexico City.
The house was located in a great place next to great places in walking distance. Rodrigo organised the drop off of the keys perfectly and was really attentive.
The only this I would be aware of is that the area has a lot of building works at the moment so it is a little noisy during the day; but if the plan is to wake up and leave the house early to explore the city this is a great place to stay.
This was my first time to use airbnb for accommodation. I searched only a few days before the time of my stay. I was looking for a small apartment in the Roma Norte neighborhood of Mexico City.
Rodrigo answered my booking request promptly. When I arrived, I found that the photos on airbnb fairly represented the apartment. The description didn’t mention that it is on the fourth floor of a building without an elevator.
I was met by Rodrigo’s helper who let me in, explained the locks and lit the pilot light of the hot water heater. The hot water heater’s pilot light wouldn’t stay lit. I needed to relight it every time I needed hot water. Rodrigo sent his helper to adjust it many times but to no effect. This went on for two weeks of my four week stay. Finally, Rodrigo sent someone else who must have known how to fix it. I found dealing with this to be rather annoying and a sign of insufficient attention on Rodrigo’s part.
I love the neighborhood, but I would not recommend this apartment. I felt that the price was much to high for the quality of service that I received.
Rodrigo's apartment was very nice and just as pictured. The apartment is in a very fun neighborhood - La Juarez - and is in a great location for exploring Roma and Condessa. The apartment felt extremely safe, and having a doorman in the building was very convenient for getting and dropping off the keys. The bed was very comfortable (and large!) and the bathroom was also nice.
Like many of the other reviews mention, there is a strange, somewhat sour smell on the first floor of the apartment that occasionally bothered us (we even bought air freshener during our trip) and there is still construction happening next door that starts in the morning. BUT, that said, I would still stay at Rodrigo's apartment again because of it's great location and its unique charm!
The apartment was in a perfect location for me for a week-long work trip. The bakery and nearby restaurants are great and it was easy walking distance to Reforma. There were a few small issues with the apartment itself. There is construction at the building directly across the back door - which didn't bother me because I was out working all day. The hot water also lasts no more than 2 minutes, so be prepared for quick showers! I also turned the gas on and off as needed to cook because otherwise it would smell like there was a small leak in the apartment.
When I arrived at the apartment a doorman was there to greet me and show me around. I was able to get settled in pretty quickly and was happy to find that the apartment was just as it was pictured on the site. There is construction next door but they only worked during the day and stopped by sundown so that wasn't an issue for me. It was easy to walk from the apartment to restaurants, different neighborhoods, and there was always good street food nearby. There's also a bakery and restaurant just downstairs. The apartment was just as it was pictured in the images, clean with towels, sheets, toilet paper, all provided for. I can't say enough good things about my experience there. Rodrigo was readily available via text message and aside from some problems with the wifi for a bit I can't say there were any big issues with the place. I would not hesitate to recommend the apartment.
