Lovely experience. I miss the place already. The apartment is located in a great neighborhood and Nagi is a very kind and accommodating host.
The perfect place to stay in Beirut; Geitawi is a quiet and calm neighbourhood (very rare in the city) and within walking distance to all the best places to go out, with easy access to Hamra/elsewhere via taxi/service. The apartment has everything you need, including a lovely balcony, living room, and fully equipped kitchen. Nagi is an excellent host and a very nice guy who will make you feel right at home, gives great advice about things to do and places to go in Lebanon/Beirut, and you'll learn a lot from his knowledge of the history/politics/society of Lebanon.
This is a nice place overall. If you don't need to get to Hamra (AUB) often, don't plan to work from the apartment, or will stay for a short period, this is a fantastic option. It's in a quiet, safe area, but close to fun spots and a major street. The building is nice and new and the unit is well-designed. The apartment is also very spacious.
There are some people for whom this apartment may not be a good option. Data usage limits on the Internet make it a bad choice for anyone who will need to use the Internet a lot. Anyone who needs to get to Hamra would also find the apartment frustrating because it is far and, contrary to what some would have you believe, catching a service taxi to the other side of Beirut is not easy. Anyone who is sensitive to heat should be careful about this place, as there is no A/C in the bedrooms and the unit in the living room does not cool them very well. (But I think a fan is adequate for most people.) Lastly, one of the bedrooms opens onto the shared balcony. As a result, your sleep schedule is at the mercy of whomever uses the balcony. I never had an issue with this, but I can see it becoming a problem for anyone who is a light sleeper.
If none of the conditions in that second paragraph applies to you and you don't mind not having a generator, this is a good place for you.
It was great to meet Nagi and Pierre (his roommate)! We really had a great time in Beirut with them; we directly felt like home!
See you soon guys!
Nagi and his friend only had a short stay at our bed and breakfast
they where great guests will always be happy to host them , left the rooms as they took it , and we never had any issues with them , i hope for them all the best and to have a safe trip back home.
i advise all the home owners to give them all the best arrangements because they deserve all the best,
