Julie is a very gracious hostess and the apartment is nestled in the hillside with peekaboo bay views and is walkable to Sausalito restaurants, waterfront sights, the ferry to SF, shops and a local wonderful grocery store and a movie theater. It is a quiet, restful place to stay with very comfortable bed, pillows and linen. It's a quick trip over the Golden Gate Bridge to get anywhere downtown San Francisco giving you access to the best of the city.
Great apartment, conveniently located in Saulsalito.
The apartment was well furnished, very comfortable, and perfectly clean. I especially liked the large windows in the living room that let in lots of light throughout the day.
The apartment is close enough to the main road in town that it's an easy walk down and from there into downtown, but also high enough up in the hills that you have a nice view and are away from street noise.
Julie was a pleasure to work with as well.
Overall, I'd recommend Julie's place for folks visiting Sausalito.
We had a wonderful time in Sausalito. Julie was an amazing host — very friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Very neat place, simply furnished, with a super-comfortable bed. Easy ferry ride to San Francisco. Great Indian restaurant down the street —
Sartaj India Cafe on Caledonia Street. And Driver's Market is a fantastic natural foods store just a few blocks down the hill.
We love Sausalito and couldn't have asked for a better location as a home base for our cycling, SUP and trail running weekend. Julie was very accommodating creating space in her fridge, fresh towels, wifi, soaps and coffee. There is a wonderful market (called DRIVERS) 1 block down the road and the put in for kayaks, canoes and SUP boards is a few blocks down the road as well. Wonderful restaurants within walking distance makes this a perfect spot for lovers of food, wine, culture, r&r and outdoor adventure. The deck is a peaceful spot overlooking the bay and a fun place to watch the mist roll over from the headlands.
We highly recommend Julie's home to anyone!
i was lucky enough to stay with julie last year and couldn't have been happier with my visit. she is such a warm, lovely person and the apartment is utterly charming. you certainly can't beat the water view from her deck and it's only a short walk into town.. you won't be disappointed!
