Seattle native and hosting/traveling aficionado!
The space at the Waterfront Alki Beach House is very nice and spacious! It is great for a family to cook, socialize and eat. The washer and dryer was very convenient. We enjoyed walks on the beach and nearby eating establishments. Patrick was there and helpful to us providing everything that we needed. More importantly, we plan on returning as it is a great way to visit Seattle. The views are also awesome! Thanks Patrick!
This apartment is actually a converted garage of a very nice beachfront property on Alki Beach. Patrick has only just undertaken the conversion so the property is modern and clean, and extremely spacious. As a guest, you enjoy water and mountain views from your front door, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, spacious kitchen and lounge and free off road parking. I think this is a great property to enjoy Seattle without the stress of being in the city centre. You can drive into town in 15 minutes via a relatively scenic route, yet have the feel of a nice manageable safe neighbourhood that you can relax in too. There are a few restaurants and shops within walking distance, and an awesome supermarket within 5 mins drive. Ask Patrick for details.
My stay at this Alki Beach home in Seattle was perfect in every way!
The location is right on the beach with views of the mountains and Puget Sound in every direction. My host Patrick was there to assist me in navigating Seattle and the local sights of Alki Beach. I do not think I could have picked a better home to stay in and I would recommend this place to everyone wanting to experience Seattle!
Wow, thank you Patrick! This was a great place to stay-- I would highly recommend it to anyone who really is hoping to "experience the real Kathmandu" as your ad suggests.
Hari, Bal, and their wives Padma and Sharada are some of the nicest people I have ever met and they made my stay very enjoyable. They served me homemade Nepali tea, and even cooked a traditional (and delicious) meal of dal bhat for me one night.
After living in small, mountain villages for 2 weeks in Nepal, coming back to this friendly home was much better than staying at a hotel in Thamel. I enjoyed having a warm shower and "western style" toilet for the time in weeks as well. My room was spacious and comfortable.
Kathmandu can be a crazy city, so it was nice to have locals give advice on things like the best places for tourists to visit, how much a cab ride should cost, how the bus system works, and recommendations for places the food is okay to eat.
When I come back to Kathmandu I will definitely stay here again!
Great place to stay for a very reasonable price. The location is amazing about a 10 minute walk from Alki beach. Patrick our host was so helpful and responsive. The deep clawfoot bathtub is FAB!
