I had a great stay at Cindy's. She was extremely welcoming and made us feel at home. The house is huge and very beautiful.
After an 8 hour drive it was so relaxing to have access to the hot tub jacuzzi and sauna.
Also, the place is very close to Downtown Bend. Highly recommend it if you're visiting Bend.
Cynthia and Stella are so welcoming and nice it always makes for a great stay. Perfect charming home with lots of character make any weekend away.
room was comfortable, Cynthia was a wonderful hostess.
We had a wonderful stay with Cynthia, Stella and Ansel. The house was a true Central Oregon ranch home with a kitchen large enough to feed a troop of hungry backpacking campers that had been rained out of their trip a day into it. Cynthia responded quickly to our request, was a gracious hostess and a truly compassionate person. Between walking marathons, running the ranch, and keeping a six bedroom home operating, she cares for her aging loved ones with a heart of gold and smile on her face. It was a pleasure and privilege to get to stay on a true ranch and be reminded of my childhood in eastern Oregon. Thanks Cynthia. We hope to see you this winter for a ski trip!
Cyndy (email hidden), and I wish we could have stayed longer to get to know her better. The house is a great mix of down-home comfort, museum-quality southwestern artifacts and ranch memorabilia. I loved the beautiful hand-stitched quilts in the Marshall Stage Stop room and Navajo blankets in the living room. Her two dogs are very affectionate and well-trained, giving me the sense that she must be an expert horse trainer as well - if only I could learn how to round up cattle with her someday! Judging from the plaques on her wall, it looks like she is very involved in her community and environmental issues. When we woke up, she served us fresh coffee, muffins and fruit before we dashed out the door to climb the gorgeous Obsidian Flow south of Bend. Highly recommended.
Wonderful hot tub under the stars....perfect after a long climb up South Sister!
We had a nice experience at the Marshall Stage Stop. Cynthia is very hospitable and makes you feel right at home. It's (email hidden) - homey, a little funky, clean and comfortable. The Cape Cod room and the bathroom are small- we would have liked a little more room - so we would want to stay in the Fish room next time. The location is great- very close to downtown Bend.
We had a wonderful stay at Cynthia's! Immediately, we felt welcomed and at home. She's got a great thing going! Definitely will be staying in the Fishing Room again next time we make it to Bend.
Cynthia (email hidden)! We got in a bit late, around 9, dropped our things off and headed into Bend for dinner. After elk burgers at Deschutes Brewery we soaked in the hot tub under stars bright enough to see the Milky Way. Cynthia was very thoughtful and had laid towels on all of our beds before we arrived, and showed us how to use the hot tub during the tour, so we could jump right in.
I was traveling with two friends, two of us stayed in the "Simpler Times" room and the third stayed in the Cape Cod room, right by the bathroom. ("Simpler Times" room not yet posted on the site, but very comfy. One bed was twin, the other was larger. All decorations were from pre 1960's.) I got up first in the morning and Cynthia made me a great smoothie. Also, gluten free items were available for breakfast upon request.
Cynthia was a very accommodating and sweet host. Gave lots of good recommendations for what to see on our way to Bend and to Crater Lake and even printed out maps for us.
Cyndy is a fantastic person and a gracious hostess. She took great care of me and my two dogs, and invited us to join her and her dogs on off-leash hikes.
My dogs loved the freedom to explore the property and I enjoyed getting to know Cyndy and her other guests.
Overall, a wonderful experience that I look forward to repeating the next time I visit Bend.
