I live with my Partner and our 5-year old Daughter in a small Village, close to the City of Canterbury.
The cottage was beautiful in a great location. It was very clean upon arrival and we were given a very informative guide around the place and where to go in the village. Great value for money as it felt very upmarket and luxurious. Exceeded expectations. We'll definitely come again.
This was the second time we stayed here as we loved it so much the first time! Liz picked us up from the station and took us back to the cottage and the cottage was stocked with all we needed for breakfast the next day.
Cosy, clean and a perfect location with good local pubs and beautiful walks on the doorstep - we'll be coming back a third time!
We had a wonderful stay at Liz and Neils cottage. We were very impressed by the additional items that they had provided to make our stay very comfortable. Neil was on hand to greet us but also left us to our privacy once the house introductions were complete. There are two very cozy country pubs within a short walk serving english pub food and pulling local ales to pass your time on the evening. Canterbury is a very short drive. I rate this property very highly and would recommend to any couple looking for a countryside retreat.
Many thanks for a lovely stay. Great cosy property in a lovely setting, just a short walk from the most beautiful village (with 2 great pubs) and lovely walks in the immediate and surrounding areas.
We had a great week here and would definitely stay again.
We spent Christmas in this beautiful cottage and we had a terrific time. The place is beautiful and clean as it is on the pictures. It has everything you need for a lovely stay. The village is charming with a beautiful old Church and churchyard, and the surrounding countryside is equally gorgeous. We didn't meet Liz but her husband Neil made sure we had everything we needed including information about the area. He made us feel very welcome and it was a great experience. I would definitely recommend it.
Great cottage and great people X pub round corner is amazing wish we could have stayed longer X
This cottage was ideal for us. It was as described in the listing and was perfectly clean. We didn't actually meet Liz, but her partner welcomed us and made sure we were happy with everything. The village is so pretty and there is a very good pub (The Woolpack) serving excellent food. Would have no hesitation in recommending to friends.
Just got back from an amazing weekend in Chilham. Liz and her partner Neil went above and beyond to look after us after we missed Chilham station - note, if you travel from Ashford, you need to be in the front four carriages or you won't be able to exit the train!
The cottage was exactly how it looked in the pictures, immaculately clean and had everything we needed - we cooked in both evening then visited the Woolpack Inn for lunch and Shelly's for scones - would 100% recommend both. Liz and Neil kindly left toast, cereal, coffee, tea and milk for breakfast which was lovely of them. If you wish to cook in make sure you bring your own food as there wasn't anywhere in the village (that we saw at least) to buy food from.
The iPad and stocked TV were a nice touch and after a long countryside walk meant we could relax.
Thanks to both for making it such a lovely weekend!
We had a lovely stay, although wished it was longer! The cottage was lovely and is in a great location. We enjoyed Chilham and had a great meal in The Woolpack.
Had a brilliant time in the cottage, Neil and Liz were extremely helpful, providing responses to questions within minutes. Location is lovely and quiet, was nice to explore the local village. Food at the Woolpack Inn is highly recommended! Thanks again Neil and Liz, you were wonderful hosts.
