Toinen vaihtoehto on kävellä 2000 rappusta ylös kylään. Siihen tuskin kukaan järkevä ryhtyy. Toisaalta majoituksen sijaitseminen Nocellessa ei haittaa pätkääkään. Bussit kulkevat tarpeeksi usein ja riittävän aikaisin ja myöhään. Positanon lisäksi pääsee näkemään pienen ja idyllisen Nocellen kylän sekä huikaisevan jumalten polun (path of the gods) patikointireitin, joita ei välttämättä tulisi lähdettyä katsomaan, jos majoitus sijaitsisi alhaalla Positanossa. Kaiken kaikkiaan hyvin suositeltava majoituskohde.
Great little b&b, with the most amazing views! We got a little lost getting there, and getting back from Positano can be hard if you miss the bus but it's definitely worth it for the great stay we had! The restaurant close by is delicious and has the best service we have had in Italy yet! Our host was very polite and friendly- breakfast was very basic for us but it was fine. The room is perfectly clean and spacious, could have done with softer and more pillows but other then that it was just what we needed! Would definitely recommend a stay here!
Carmela, her husband, and her uncle were all so welcoming! Yes, her B&B isn't in Positano but it is so easy to get around by bus, taxi, and walking down the steps. We even took the Ferry to Capri for the day. Her B&B has the best view and it is so peaceful since it is away from the crowds. Breakfast is great, they make a great Cappuccino!
If you are driving to the B&B, do everything you can to eventually get into the parking lot. We ended up getting charged for a scratch on our bumper that inevitably was from being parked in the street. (Our mistake)
We had a wonderful stay at Villa La Quercia! Like others have mentioned, Carmela and her husband were great hosts and we were happily greeted every morning with a nice breakfast and excellent coffee. Carmela even packed us a nice croissant to go when we had to leave early for our flight! Although you need to walk down a few flights of stairs to get to the B&B (that's all of Positano and surrounding area for you though), the accomodation has everything you need and the views from the balcony are stunning. Nocelle is located quite a bit away from the Positano centre, but with a little planning you can get there easily by bus in 30 minutes, or even less by scooter which is highly recommended if you are able to. There are some excellent restaurants nearby in Nocelle/Montepertuso as well, if you don't want to stay out to late in town. Excellent value for money at Villa La Quercia! Thank you so much!
The accommodation itself was lovely! The view from the terrace and from the rooms were incredible. Lovely place to sit and enjoy breakfast or a glass of wine. The location however was a bit of a pain. Nocelle is out of Positano centre and whilst a bus services the small town it leaves only every HOUR. In peak time the bus is over crowded and some people actually miss out on getting on. The trip itself takes 30min. You must be able to climb fairly steep stairs (at least 100) to reach the accommodation and a bag service is NOT included. They charge 5 euro per bag one way. However it is out of the hustle and bustle of the town meaning it is a very peaceful and tranquil place. The town restaurant which is walking distance was delicious. The closest beach is straight down min 500 stairs (must be very fit to get back up them). It takes 30min but the beach is 100 times better than the one around the corner at positano. A water taxi service runs between each for 5 euro per person. Carmela was lovely, she made a great breakfast and was always willing to help. She also spoke some english however we felt her husband was a little overbearing. He seemed annoyed when we requested a knife and a few plates to make a pre dinner cheese platter on the balcony. All in all if you are looking for a cute little hideaway on the lovely coast of Amalfi I would recommend this Airbnb
This is a beautiful place to stay. La Quercia is gorgeous, with the best views you could imagine, and Carmela and Salvatore are fantasic hosts. The room had everything we needed and Carmela provided lots of info about the local area. Nocelle is a wonderful small village right up in the hills from which you can easily visit Positano, and from there there are great links to the whole Amalfi coast. If you go up from there you find the Path of the Gods, a rugged mountain path with incredible views, and if you go down you eventually get to the beach; many steps but with plenty of places to rest and appreciate the scenery, and a beach well worth the effort. I would definitely visit again. Thank you!
Carmela and her husband were very friendly and their BnB has an incredible view. Air conditioning would have made it perfect.
A little hard to find but a gem when you do..
Great hosts, beautiful view, lovely hospitality.
A 20 minute bus ride from the main town sitting above everything.
Nocelle is a beautiful part of the world and a great option for visiting Positano. The breakfasts were very nice and it is a beautiful but long walk down to a very nice beach called Arienzo.
You will be required to get a local bus if no car / scooter which can take some time / planning but it's not too hard to figure out.
