Our stay at Isaac's place was great! The decor was what we are used to and very comfortable. The space was larger than originally expected and easy to find. Having all the comforts of home, including washer & dryer, really made this trip for us. We travelled to DC to find our next home and Isaac's place gave us a great taste of DC living.
The bed was really comfortable as was the living areas. During our stay, there were major storms passing through and Isaac's place was a nice place to just relax, read, and listen to nature's rumbles. Instead of traveling out to the nearby restaurants, we chose to stay in and cook a couple of meals. Again, this added to our introduction of life in DC.
Overall, Isaac's home is a fantastic choice! You get used to a few footsteps overhead, which rarely lasted past 10pm (even on a weekend!). I would recommend this space to anyone looking for a nice getaway.
Isaac was a great host. He returned all my emails and text and made sure all my questions were answered.
His place was exactly as described- very clean and spacious, perfect for our two day stay. The bed was very comfortable to sleep on and the bathroom was very clean with a spacious shower (No bath though).
The neighborhood was quiet with plenty of parking, if you have a car. His place was really simple to get to from Ronald Reagon airport- just take the metro's green or yellow line (get a smart pass). It's a easy paced 15 minute walk through neighborhoods to get to his place, or a $7-8 cab ride from the metro station- we did both. Isaac's place is without a Television, so be prepared to actually talk with your travel partner...we loved it. The place, over all, had a great feel to it... cozy and warm. Isaac, thank you for letting us stay in your place.
Isaac's apartment was exactly what I was looking for. Getting in and out was not a problem. The neighborhood was quiet and easy to navigate. Isaac always answered my questions in a prompt manner even though he was out of town. I would stay at his apartment again.
Isaac's apartment exceeded our expectations! His modern, stylish home is filled with Asian-style decor and more books than you can imagine. At one point, we tried to tally a total, but lost track less than halfway! The apartment is perfect for anyone who is looking to be close to the city (Metro station is only a 5 minute walk, or you can park right next to it for about $4/day) but not right in the heart of it. There is more than ample parking on the street that is accessible without a permit 24/7. The area is very beautiful, safe, and great for evening walks or runs. The home was immaculately clean, but at the same time, perfectly welcoming. The kitchen is well-stocked with utensils, plates, glasses, etc., the fridge had ample space for us to store groceries, and the wifi was very fast. The bathroom was large with a walk-in shower and rainfall shower head. The bedroom was spacious, with a loft-style feel, and the memory foam mattress was unbelievable to sleep on! We left the Petworth apartment more than satisfied, and are eager to return to the beautiful city (and Isaac's home!!) very soon!
Isaac's apartment was spacious, clean, and welcoming. He provided a bag of coffee and a bottle of wine as arrival gifts. These contributions coupled with the low price makes this apartment a great value. Moreover, Isaac was responsive before and during my stay. I would stay again and recommend others to do the same with the following qualifications.
The apartment is not easily accessible by metro, but if you're willing to walk a little it's a very minor inconvenience. I had been hoping to use the office space since I was in town for work, but was informed that it was unavailable the day before I arrived. Finally, the ceiling is a little thin and you can hear the upstairs neighbors moving around quite a bit, but they kept reasonable hours. So although noticeable at times, it was not really a problem.
Isaac has an extensive library replete with titles for generalists and specialists alike. The laundry, thermostat, and locks were all easy to use. The appliances and faucets were modern and worked well. In short, this is a great apartment at a great price.
Isaac was a great guest! Very laid back, open and communicative. Highly recommended.
recommend for every host.
