Everything about this place was great! Cheryl was a fantastic, helpful, communicative host. Her property is beautiful, the apartment is in excellent condition and it had everything we wanted plus more. Some things in the apartment that we had access to in case we needed were body wash, shampoo, conditioner, coffee, sugar, creamer, bug spray, sun lotion, candles, umbrella, lots of kitchen items, and a huge book of information, maps, and activities that Cheryl has for her guests! That book was very useful. Cheryl also let us borrow her snorkel gear for the day and we had a lot of fun seeing tropical fish with it in a beach near Fajardo. The house is a short drive to El Yunque, beaches, shopping, and much more. There is fruit growing on the property, and also a cute little bunny! The sounds of the insects and frogs at night are enchanting. We were very comfortable here and would definitely come back!
Staying at Cheryl's rainforest retreat was great! Such a great way to relax and unwind. Her place was beautiful, clean, and well equipped with everything from extra beach towels to bug spray. Cheryl even loaned us some of her beach chairs for the week! The place also comes with a binder full of reviews on great destinations and points of interest in the area, which made finding things and getting around that much easier. Cheryl couldn't have been a more kind and helpful host! I would absolutely visit again and would recommend it to anyone!
Cheryl was the perfect Airbnb host. The property and location was as described and perfectly situated to enjoy both the eastern and southern sides of the island. Staying at Cheryl's in Naguabo was perfect for what we were looking to accomplish -- a little rain forest, beaches, and spending time away from all the tourists. Great location to relax with the locals while also within driving distance to Fajardo, Humacao and Ponce. Would stay again!
We truly enjoyed our time at Cheryl's Rain Forest Retreat. She was a fantastic host and started our time there with a quick tour around the property. The unit was the perfect size for myself and my girlfriend. The location was great for getting to El Yunque (only about 45 mins from the North entrance) although Cheryl offered to personally guide us to the South entrance which is closer. She provided a very well organized and helpful binder listing some great restaurants and activities. On our last day there she went so far as to print out GoogleMap's directions to the restaurant we wanted to have brunch at in Fajardo. The kitchen was more than adequate to make breakfast that we bought from a nearby store and coffee (which was supplied). We would definitely stay here again!
The Rain Forest Retreat was a perfect size for two of us and a great location to get all around the east side of Puerto Rico. Cheryl made sure we were well prepared for every adventure and gave us plenty of tips on what to do - perfect for two travelers who don't plan much in advance. Thank you Cheryl!
What a wonderful location and a wonderful host. We honestly couldn't ask for more. Beautiful scenery, a perfect balance of privacy yet access to information and help at all times, amazing plantain bread, and a great deal in general. As a first timer to Airbnb, I have a feeling the bar was just set incredibly high. Thanks again Cheryl, it was perfect. 100% recommend it to anyone interested.
Thanks so much, Ian. Wonderful guest like you make this a lot of fun!
Cheryl was a great hostess. She ensured that our arrival was smooth and that we had everything that we needed. Her unit was exactly as described and the staff at that the ESJ Towers were courteous and helpful.

We had the most enjoyable beach vacation in this beautiful house for four full weeks. It's simply an ideal summer location for a family with kids.
Location: One hour from downtown Boston by car. Shallow and warm waters of Onset Bay are arguably the best ones in Cape Cod, and are perfect for any water activity. A quiet neighborhood has very light through traffic. Miles of small roads alongside the shoreline for jogging. Easy, barefoot access to the beach.
House: Well maintained house, with a small garden, lawn and two-car parking lot. Water and beach views from every window. We enjoyed family meals at the porch under retractable shade. A detailed house manual contains everything one needs to know to enjoy the house and local town: shops, restaurants, bus schedule, tide times, festivities, and much more. The house was perfectly clean on our arrival, with refills of everything one might need, from dish soap and laundry detergent to bulbs and batteries. Beach chairs and towels are among many nice extras. Wi-Fi signal was strong enough to surf the web even on the beach. Cable TV has too many channels to choose from. Separate washer and dryer can take a heavy load. Fully equipped kitchen will please any cook.
House owners, Skip and Cheryl, are very nice and friendly. Quickly responded to our emails, always available on the phone when needed.
We highly recommend this house and location for a perfect family vacation in New England.
Skip and Cheryl are wonderful hosts. The directions are spot on and the location is beautiful. Lots of good information about the area in the little book that they leave in the room for your use. It is a bit far from the entrance to the "main" part of the park but not an issue if you have a car or if the park is opened back up for access via the south entrance.
The apt is adorable. Has a little 2 burner hot plate, full size fridge (remember to make your own ice with the trays provided), microwave and coffee maker. Basic kitchen supplies make it easy to whip up a snack or meal. Bottled water is provided.
Bedroom is nice as well, bed is relatively comfortable and linens are clean.
Bathroom is well appointed and they even have shampoo, conditioner and body wash in there for your use. I will note (not sure if I missed this somewhere) that there is no proper door on the bathroom, only a shower curtain. So if you are not close with your traveling companions this could be awkward. It helped my fiance and I cross a line in our relationship that we had been avoiding lol.
Through absolutely no fault of the hosts, we only ended up staying one night instead of the planned 2 (website hidden) in June is H O T and somehow I missed that the apt does NOT have AC, completely my fault. I am not at all accustomed to the heat and having asthma it was too much for me to be comfortable. I am sure in the cooler winter months it is perfectly fine and comfortable as the fans are pretty large and move air well, but if it is hot air then they are not much help. So just note the temps and humidity level if you are sensitive to heat before booking.
Over all I would stay there again if it were cooler. It truly is a nice place in a beautiful location. Oh, bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper, the frogs are amazingly loud but awesome!
Cheryl was a blessing. She is sweet, funny, and just a wonderful person all around. We enjoyed some conversations about life, travel, and much more. I happy to have meet here. She was an excellent guest and I would have difficulties whatsoever recommending this lovely person for a stay.
