I am living in Amsterdam, born in Gouda in Holland. I work in music. Performing myself (mostly as a DJ) and organising events and concerts.
I also organise movement meditation and dance meditation workshops.
Clearly my passion is music. Travelling is another one.
I used to work in healthcare, there might be one day that I will go back to working in the hospital or private healthcare. For now I am giving all my focus to music and workshops.
I am a blessed person, I often combine my 2 passions: Work and travel. This is sometimes intense. It also means I sleep at strange hours sometimes. And I love to sleep. For me it is important that it is not too noisy in my room. A little noise is ok. I understand that people who are alive make sounds. But a lot of noise gets in the way of my sleep and when I sleep badly, I am not a happy person.
It has happened a few times on AirBnB that the host listed the room or appartment as very quiet. But it wasn't. One time it was above a night time pub: screaming drunk people in the street all night. This building was obviously built by a people-hating architect, because you could hear the neighbours talk in the corridor. And they were not talking loud at all.
If your appartment is a little on the noisy side, please let me know. I can make my choice then in an informed matter. Things are so much easier to handle when you are well informed.
In general I am an easy going happy-go-luckky person. I connect easily with people and love to get to know the hosts personally if the host likes that as well. I have travelled a lot, and I am super independent. If you don't want to socialise or interact, I am fine with that as well. I always find my way.
The best memories of AirBnB I have of Greece. I stayed with wonderful people. And this summer one host came to Holland and we connected again and spent a lot of time going around Amsterdam.
