Monica was a very friendly, easy going guest. Unfortunately, on her check-out day she did misplace the key shortly before she had to leave to catch her bus. She ended up leaving without locating the key. When I returned to the apartment after her check-out, I could not find the key in its' correct location. I contacted Monica, when she told me she had misplaced it before leaving. After I searched EVERYWHERE in the apartment to no avail, I had to notify Monica that the locks would need to be replaced. This is no easy task and comes with a hefty fee ($250 + locksmith fees) as our building locks are a bit sophisticated. Monica did thankfully locate the key with her belongings. Unfortunately, she was not going to be coming back through Boston until Monday, and this all happened on a Friday afternoon so mailing it would not really be any quicker. We did have another guest checking in on Friday so this caused some inconvenience for that weekend's guest. Luckily, our weekend plans seemed to coordinate fairly well and our guest was very understanding. In order to get the key back, I had to meet Monica at the train station in Boston on Monday as she passed through. Overall everything was settled, it was just a bit stressful until I had the key back in my hands. Accidents happen though, and Monica was such a lovely guest otherwise. Would host her again!
I had one of my most fun experiences as a host with Monica. She is a very chill, laid back, easy person to talk to. She's easy to get along with and goes with the flow. In the end she became more of a friend than a guest and I look forward to hosting her in the future.
