I am a 28 male who used to work in Advertising but, currently, happen to be enjoying a sabbatical while full-time studying martial arts at the USA Shaolin Temple. I like to travel and meet new people, new cultures. I'm easy going and friendly.

Hugo was great! Totally, cool and very accommodating (I had an open-ended schedule, and he meet me when I needed). The room was exactly as pictured and oh so close to the Park. I'd definitely come back here again.
Hugo is a wonderful host.
It was an amazing experience shooting for a film in his apartment.
Will definitely recommend to my friends & will be his guest in future.
Love the apartment. Very spacious and sunny indeed. Hugo's an incredibly cool guy as well. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone without hesitation!
This is a beautiful apartment in an exciting neighborhood. Hugo is an excellent host, extremely hospitable and considerate. I spent six days, taking advantage of the peace and quiet to write. This was my first AirBnB experience and it has set a very high standard!
We didn't get to meet Hugo, but we met his partner Kari, she was really kind and welcoming with us! She contacted us a couple of days before our arrival to make sure we would get the apartment's keys.
The apartment is clean and spacious, exactly as shown in the pictures. It is just two blocks from the subway and it has several stores around where you can find everything you need.
Hugo's apartment was huge and lovely. We stayed over New Years and had a great time in New York. The apartment is only a few blocks from the subway. We drove in and had no trouble finding parking close to Hugo's apartment. Great host!
Hugo s apartment was gorgeous, really spacious, clean, comfy and excellent kitchen facilities. Located in a safe neighbourhood and only a few blocks from the subway or getting a bus into Manhattan. Private bedroom, Really comfy bed and could come and go at any time we pleased which was excellent considering it was NYE.
Hugo himself was a brilliant host, and being first time air bnbers we, it couldn't have gone any better. Really helpful from the first point of contact to when we had finished our stay. 100% recommended, great value for money, STAY HERE!
Short Review: Good deal for the price.
Bedroom - What you see in the image is what you get. Full-size
mattress sits on the hardwood floors, large windows look into the
courtyard of the building. Typical of an older NYC building, you can't
turn the heater down, but you can open up the windows. During our cold
winter stay, we had the windows open to keep the room from being a
sauna. With the windows open, it was still very quiet in the room -
which is rare in NYC! The room is large and has only the furniture
seen in the image.
Bathroom - Small bathroom also typical of NYC apartments fits the
sink, toilet, and shower/tub. Everything in the bathroom was clean. I
can't speak for the shower because it wasn't used during my stay. I
didn't see towels for my use or a hair dryer available, so it seemed
too inconvenient to inquire about these.
Living/Dining Areas - The living room appears large, and is very
sparsely furnished. We didn't see the 2 girls who stayed in the other
room during our stay, so we didn't need more seating than the loveseat
to relax before exploring the city. Hugo gave us the wireless
information and we had no problems connecting to the internet. The
kitchen is small, and the breakfast table was large enough to
accommodate us for a meal. Hugo cleared a shelf in the refrigerator
for our perishable food.
Building/Location - The apartment building is conveniently located
near the Q train, which got us to Union Sqaure in about 45 minutes and
back in about 35 minutes (weekend). It is also just over a block to
Prospect Park - one of the nicest parks in the city. The building
itself looks okay from the outside, but smelled awful in the lobby,
elevator, and hallways. The elevator reeked of urine and the smoke
detector outside of the unit beeped with a low battery signal during
our stay. It is definitely not a luxury building.
Thankfully, the unit was a drastic contrast to the building and was
very clean. The plants throughout the unit were also a very nice
Hugo was very nice. We felt very well in his flat which is spacious, bright and warm. It's possible to run or walk in Prospect Park which, is really close then to take the subway to go to Manhattan in 40 minutes.
We spent happy holiodays, thank you to Hugo and Judith.
Although my stay was quite brief, Hugo and his girl friend where quite helpful and flexible with me. They provided me with keys so that I could come and go as I pleased. Their appartment is amazingly spacious by New York's standards. Also very bright, airy and clean. The images posted are a very accurate representation of their lovely flat.
