The listing description is very accurate. Our experience was amazing. The apartment was very homey and very clean. The location was PERFECT. It's a 5-10min walk to the nearest train station and the public transportation was very easy to handle. We had absolutely no complaints about our experience here.
A fantastic apartment in a great location! While we did not meet Anika, she was very prompt in answering messages via Airbnb and was very helpful in the lead up to our stay in Vienna. We stayed over Christmas time and the apartments location meant we were only a short 5 minute walk to St Stephens and lots of the Christmas markets. The apartment is clean and the kitchen has all the necessities one needs.
The room is very clean and organized. It is not close to tourist attractions, but if you use tram no.38(last station which is close to all tourist attractions) & metro, you can get there easily. It was nice overall. Only one thing is it would have been really helpful if the host gives us information about the transportation or tourist attractions.
The place is very nice and comfortable and the location is incredibly central. It was very convenient and a good place for the price. Using the laundry was a bit tough, and the sound at night was as others have reported. But it was very clean and spacious and Annika was very accommodating to our late arrival.
The apartment is exactly as described and we enjoyed it very much. Spacious clean and near the metro. Supermarket is just 100m away. A good walk to St Stephan which we enjoyed. But non-walkers can take metro and just 4 stops to st Stephan.
We didn't meet Anika but Irena her assistant waited for us and showed us everything including taking us to the supermarket. Anika's late response initially caused me some anxiety before we arrived. But a quick phone call to her assistant gave us the precise directions to get to her apartment including using the blue train which is much cheaper than the green train :). The neighbourhood is safe and very nice. I recommend it.
We ended up paying over $213 AUD per night for this apartment after we made a booking change (2 months prior to our stay) from 10 nights to 6 nights. In the end we paid $1,279 for 6 nights. The original charge for 10 nights was $1,407 AUD (total) The first changed fee offer for 6 nights (4 nights LESS) became $1,682 AUD. So 6 nights cost $275 AUD MORE than 10 nights!!!! Go figure! We queried that of course & after a lot of emailing back & forth, the estimate of the final OVER-charge is between $200-$240 AUD! This is based on the original advertised 'flat rate' of $143/night + 20% (maximum) Airbnb fees + $51 AUD cleaning. That total 'flat rate' for 6 nights should be $1,080. However the advertised weekly rate (7nights) is $822/wk. If you + 20% Airbnb fees + cleaning, that totals a reduced rate of $1,037 AUD! It was pretty hard to sort it out as we never actually met Anika. She claimed the discrepancies were due to the Airbnb system but again used that system to make new offers that were still an over-charge with no further discussions. In the end I couldn't be bothered going back & forwards with any more emails as I wanted to get on with enjoying my holiday so we reluctantly accepted the $1,279 fee for 6 nights. Airbnb were no help either. When I contacted them they just sent automated messages that directed me back to 'the host'. The apartment is very central but we compared nearby hotels & we could have got a better price with several with all the convenience of people to talk to directly when there's a problem. The apartment is quite roomy & attractive but there were a few issues: Very noisy with the windows open at night. Very hot with the windows closed. A light fitting (for show) in the bedroom but NO switch to turn it on. The shower drain is blocked & overflows onto the floor. We notified Anika by email on the first night but no response. At the price we paid we thought we would have TOILET PAPER, a dish towel & sponge & some washing up liquid provided (or more than 1 dishwasher tablet) & maybe even some shower-wash! But we had to go & buy our own. A hotel for the same price would provide these as well as changes of towels & room make-ups daily. The advertised washing machine was not in the apartment & we were not shown it on arrival. When we discovered it, we found it was impossible to use, as it was in constant use with copious amounts of wet sheets draped throughout the laundry & no where to dry anything. The lift is useless because it only starts on the first floor. The bedroom & bathroom have dividing walls that don't reach the ceiling. Which ironically was good because the only way to get light into the bedroom was...
We rented this apartment for visiting Wien and it was a great choice. The house is as described in the ad, it is very clean, quiet and comfortable. One slight annoyance for us was the elevator: you need to do a flight of stairs to take it and the stops are on the mezzanine of the stairs. We were 2 adults and 2 children, including one with the stroller. Except this little annoyance everything was perfect. They provided to me also a baby-bed. The house is 5 minutes from the metro and in Landstrasse there are several supermarkets and shops. Also for those with small children the only supermarket that has baby food is Spar,it is about 10 minutes walking. The neighborhood is quiet and well attended. For those coming by car: under house you can park freely from 22 to 9 in the morning and on weekends, at other times parking is not free but you can pay a ticket up to 2h. I advice to use the Park & Ride car park at the stop Edberg (2 stops from home) metro.
Though the original apt was canceled last minute, Anika supplied a comparable apt that we easily changed to. The apartment was roomy and conveniently located near a supermarket and 5 min walk to a metro that went straight into the city center. Nicely stocked kitchen as well.
Thank you so much for your nice recommendation and understanding about the Apartment change.
All the best,
Meine vollste Empfehlung!!!
