I (Mark) grew up in the sleepy little college town of Davis, CA and I (Taapsi) grew up in the big college town of Pune, India. Two years ago, we moved to Syracuse, NY in pursuit of Love, Happiness and Higher Education.
We are huge fans of Jazz, African and 80's Pop ballads, as well as being Classical nuts. We've also recently gotten into gardening at our community garden, baking muffins and making delicious American and Indian dishes.
For 10 years I (Mark) was a working stage and TV actor in NYC and LA, then in 2004 switched careers and have become a fairly in-demand portrait photographer around the country. In 2010, I went to India for the first time and last year completed my first photography book titled, "Living the Dream: The Life of the 'Bollywood' Actor."
I (Taapsi), after garnering degrees in Economics and International Studies from Ohio Wesleyan University, in 2007, returned to India to host a popular CNBC show called "Tech Toys," then went on manage a commercial artisan company that revolved around the idea of micro-finance. Now, I am a doctoral student at the Maxwell School, Syracuse University, in pursuit of my PhD as a civic anthropologist.
We believe in the magic of everyday life.
