I am french and I've been living in the NY for 12 years.
I speak French, English and Spanish.
I will make sure you enjoy your stay.
We had a lovely stay at Emmanuelle and her husband's property and they were A++ in all aspects of hosting - highly communicative with quick responses, thoughtful and accommodating. Not only was the apartment huge for NYC standards, but it was also spotless and homey. Laid out on the table was an organized binder with any information you could need - Wifi login, subway info, restaurant suggestions, take our menus, apartment FAQ's (where to leave key etc.) They have a great collection of DVD classics. We immediately could tell that they really go the extra mile to take care of their guests; they left bread, butter, tea, coffee and a carton of juice for us.
The only thing I would recommend is that if you are driving pay attention to the street sweeping signs. There is plenty of parking available but don't forget to move your car! NYC is no joke when it comes to parking regulations.
Other than the ticket, thanks to Emmanuelle and her husband, our trip went off without a hitch. We would absolutely stay with these kind Airbnb hosts again.
Emmanuelle's space was perfect for my two parents, who were visiting from California. It was the perfect clean, cozy place for two people that really feel uncomfortable in NYC. When my parents walked in their first word was "W(phone number hidden)w!"
Every time they visit me I'm going to try to book this space again.
Thank you Emmanuelle!
I had a great stay. The apt is as described and was very clean. I did not meet Emmanuelle, but our exchanges were pleasant and timely. She left us some milk, coffee, bread and juice which was a nice touch. They don't have cable, but have a great DVD collection that was more than enough to past the time on a snowy day.
It's a terrific and comfortable apartment in a favorite neighborhood. Really the best place we could have stayed. The patio is surely great in the summer — we were there in frigid January — but it's very near to the botanic garden, the park, the Brooklyn Museum, and some of the best restaurants in Brooklyn. Fun to watch DVDs on the TV, too — they have the entire American Prestige Action/Thriller/Crime Movie canon.
What a great stay in Brooklyn! Check in was easy even though the hosts weren't able to meet us in person. The unit is below their home so you know they will be certain to take care of any issues with the building. Very spacious one bedroom, felt like a home away from home. Nicely renovated and up to date, a lot of fun amenities we didn't get to try like the bikes and BBQ grill, but they were there! The furniture layout was a bit odd if you wanted to watch the TV (couch is beneath the TV), but hardly anything that couldn't be addressed personally and the only minor point I have about the experience. Breakfast items provided to us which was a nice touch.
Location worked wonderfully for us near our family in Crown Heights and Park Slope. We were able to find parking along the street. Very responsive communication over phone/text/email.
As expected with these buildings, there is some floor-to-floor noise of people walking above, but having lived in various cities over my life this was hardly a bother for me. And Emmanuelle and her husband were kind enough to tell us when they were having guests over and will be as mindful as possible regarding the floor noise.
Got to briefly greet and bid farewell to them as we left the snowy streets of Brooklyn to our next adventure and look forward to another opportunity to stay there again.
This great apartment is a really good place to spend time in New York. It is really easy to get to with several subway options to / from Manhattan or JFK. I have been to New York before but always stayed in Manhattan. Staying in Brooklyn is by far the better option as the easy transport links give plenty of options with a nice relaxing apartment to return to each evening. The area is great and safe with plenty of food options. As regards the apartment itself it is well furnished and clean with all the amenities you would need (and warm - it was January!). Emmanuelle and Olivier are easy to contact should you need them. Overall I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely consider booking again if returning to NYC.
This is a wonderful apartment. Everything was perfect -- lovely apartment, very clean and comfortable. They even leave bread, coffee, milk, OJ, and butter for you. It is close to subways and the neighborhood is lots of fun. I would highly recommend this place.
Beautiful and spacious apartment! Great place to stay in Brooklyn!
Emmanuelle and Olivier are really kind.
The room is clean and spacious.
I enjoyed staying.
Emmanuelle and her husband are wonderful guests. They left the apartment very clean and organized. They will be always welcome to my place. Thank you, Emmanuelle. Hope you had fun in Rio. Best.
This was a very pleasant guest (actually Emmanuelle' s husband) and I look forward to meeting his whole family! And staying longer.....a charming experience. Jeri
Emmanuelle & I have been close friends for about 20 years now. She is a lovely and trustworthy person who values her guests. We are both from France & have lived less than a block away for about 10 years in France & in the US. She is an amazing host. She is clean, kind, organized and generous. She has great taste and always goes the extra step to make people happy and comfortable whenever hosting or coming to your place as a guest. Her apt is very tasteful and clean, in the friendly and uniquely diverse neighborhood of Crown Heights. An ideal stay for any visitors. Enjoy Brooklyn!
