my name is Sophie and I'm from Germany, Wiesbaden - a beautiful town with a lot of before-ww 1+2-arquitecture- near Frankfurt.
In my times as a student I travelled a lot and studied in Lisbon, Portugal for one year. I also did several internships in Portugal and Brasil, therefore I speak Portuguese and understand some Spanish too...(but, just in case: don't expect too much regarding to my spanish skills ;) )
I'm used to living and getting along with many different kinds of people (as I was living in different kinds of communityhousing for about 8 years in different countries) and like to communicate.
I also like having my own space sometimes and therefore find it necessary respecting other people's privacy and needs (like the need to sleep at night for example), even more when you stay in other people's space. Evidently, that's what I expect from others, too.
Leaving a place as nice as you found it before: self-evident.
People work (even when others are on holiday). They need to sleep: no questions here, (website hidden) together and having dinner or going out, in case there is interest on both sides and time? Yes, please!
As far as I remember I never stayed in a hotel while travelling and prefer travelling to places where I already know someone. As an alternative I like Backpacking, too. Of course, I don't have friends at all the places and cities which I would like to know, therefore I joined Airbnb. Staying in places of people actually living in the city I'm visiting sounds pretty nice to me, as you are able to get in contact with your travelling destination in a more personal way.
