It was one of the highlights of our trip!
Carmen (she speaks English) is very nice and her parents (some English and French) are adorable. We were welcomed and Carmen accompanied us to dinner even though she had already eaten. We really appreciated it and the local cuisine is tasty (cooked by her mother). After that she has kindly suggested us to visit her village!
If you really want to see the countryside and its villages, its people and animals, this is ideal. The bed is correct (we didn't sleep on beds in the photo) but it is not what we came for. We recommend this address of course !
If you want a true Romanian cultural experience, stay in Rasinari with Carmen and her parents. This a historical village and is a classic way to see how Romanians live day to day. Carmens mother waiting at the gate to the house when we arrived. We drove into their court yard and her father greeted us with the traditional truica. We asked for dinner and her Mom made a 3 course traditional dinner. They supplied a bottle of wine and more truica. Carmen spoke great English and provided great insights into Romanian history, culture and things to see. She provided us a back road route to Sighasoara that was a real treat. We had planned to stay only one night but stayed two and had dinner the second night as well and asked Carmen to eat with us.This was a highlight of our trip.
Carmen (email hidden) and made us feel really welcome. Her breakfasts are really good too :) the room is nice and comfortable and the village is just (email hidden) to stay if you (email hidden) to relax although it is close enough to Sibiu that it is easy to go out too. Be aware that the wifi doesn't have good signal in the bedroom
This is a real treasure, up in the mountains in a village almost untouched by time. The house is very warm and lots of hot water and good washing machine. So all the mod cons in a fantastic environment. The hosts could not have been nicer or done more for me. You must go and stay
Very nice place near Sibiu. Extraordinary friendly hosts, good accommodation and delicious food. We felt in best hands.
Thank You very much!

Carmen and her family are some of the kindest people we've ever met on our travels. They welcomed us with a snack and traditional schnapps and stayed up chatting with us for several hours. They answered so many questions we had about Romania, Sibiu and their village. Their accommodations were very nice, and you will not believe the breakfast! If we come back to Romania, you can bet we'd stay here again.
Very nice and frindly family, most (website hidden) you the filling of Home as a nice and cosy local house.
The place is in a great and quiet location
Very good breakfast.
It is not (email hidden) but rather part of the Romania Expiriance.
Carmen is very knowlagble and an interesting person.
We had a lovely stay with Carmen and her family. The house is a short drive from Sibiu in a very pretty village. we had a very warm welcome, delicious dinner and a hearty breakfast.
The room was very clean and comfortable and likewise the en suite bathroom. Carmen's mum even went the extra mile and thoughtfully made a birthday cake for my friend. I cannot recommend this little gem highly enough. Thank you for taking such good care of us.
We had a wonderful stay with this lovely family, who bent over backwards to make us feel welcome, cooked us some fantastic food, and returned our camera by post when we left it behind! Rasinari (email hidden) as well....
The welcome was hearty and really outstanding. We liked everything and everything was unexpectedly good: hosting family, who became our good friends, the Romanian mountain village ambiance, abundant and delicious breakfasts and dinners. Perfect location: it's just 15 minutes drive from the Center of Sibiu, but we enjoyed all advantages of the suburb: silence, hearty people, proximity of picturesque mountains and ski resorts. Saved to my dream list.
Besonders nette Gäste jederzeit wieder herzlich wilkommen.
