Nous avons été très bien accueillis, le logement était propre et agréable. Merci encore pour les supers petits déjeuners. Nous recommandons fortement de faire une escale a Rasinari chez Carmen.
10 km away from Sibiu, Carmen's house is in a small quiete village, perfect to find peace and relax really close to the town. The family is welcoming, kind and attentive - in 3 words - great lovely people! :)
Simply amazing value!! Lovely location, idyllic and welcoming. Warm hosts and delicious and plentiful food (best papanasi dessert ever!) and beverages. Tidy, detached bedrooms and bath are perfect for singles, couples or families. Friendly kitties and chickens! Host even kindly assisted us with laundry and welcomed us back home with drinks and conversation at the end of our evening out. Worth staying just outside of Sibiu proper for the family style rustic experience. Secured parking, great communication, wonderful, friendly, interesting people and perfect stay. Multumim frumos! We'll be back soon.
We had a wonderful time with Carmen and her parents. They were most helpful and hospitable and were very generous. The food was excellent - breakfasts varied and plentiful and we recommend booking the evening meal. Carmen's mother, Nellie loves cooking and that was very clear. The village was fascinating with each household built around its own courtyard. It was refreshing to observe a traditional way of life where small is still beautiful. Horses and carts were a common sight. The Saturday market was huge. We spent 2 whole days at the renowned Asta ethnographic museum which was absolutely fascinating. Carmen was generous with her time after work in explaining many things to us. This is an excellent place to stay, we highly recommend it.
Carmen and her parents and sister were super kind! so warm and welcoming! they did everything in their power to make us feel at home, always with a smile and modesty. the room was cosy and clean, so was the bathroom. the kitchen is small but more then enough. we told Carmen we had to leave early in the morning, around 7am, and when we woke up at 6:30 there was breakfast waiting for us at the kitchen, made by Carmen's mother. if we had more time to spend in that area we would stay at Carmen's more nights for sure! very recommended!
Very nice place near Sibiu in a quit area and easy to reach with car (inside parking). The rooms are very clean and have a good bed and bathroom. Carmen and her parents are wonderfull people. Very warm, helpfull and friendly. Carmen speaks perfect English and her dad helps himself with French. The mother cooks very well. We have eaten there our best meals of our trip in Roemenië. We advice you strongly to choose this place in Rasinari to visit the region. Warm regards Piet and Béné
It was one of the highlights of our trip!
Carmen (she speaks English) is very nice and her parents (some English and French) are adorable. We were welcomed and Carmen accompanied us to dinner even though she had already eaten. We really appreciated it and the local cuisine is tasty (cooked by her mother). After that she has kindly suggested us to visit her village!
If you really want to see the countryside and its villages, its people and animals, this is ideal. The bed is correct (we didn't sleep on beds in the photo) but it is not what we came for. We recommend this address of course !
If you want a true Romanian cultural experience, stay in Rasinari with Carmen and her parents. This a historical village and is a classic way to see how Romanians live day to day. Carmens mother waiting at the gate to the house when we arrived. We drove into their court yard and her father greeted us with the traditional truica. We asked for dinner and her Mom made a 3 course traditional dinner. They supplied a bottle of wine and more truica. Carmen spoke great English and provided great insights into Romanian history, culture and things to see. She provided us a back road route to Sighasoara that was a real treat. We had planned to stay only one night but stayed two and had dinner the second night as well and asked Carmen to eat with us.This was a highlight of our trip.
Carmen is a fantastic host and made us feel really welcome. Her breakfasts are really good too :) the room is nice and comfortable and the village is just lovely! A great place to stay if you need a quiet place to relax although it is close enough to Sibiu that it is easy to go out too. Be aware that the wifi doesn't have good signal in the bedroom
This is a real treasure, up in the mountains in a village almost untouched by time. The house is very warm and lots of hot water and good washing machine. So all the mod cons in a fantastic environment. The hosts could not have been nicer or done more for me. You must go and stay
Besonders nette Gäste jederzeit wieder herzlich wilkommen.
