Great apt and a great guy. Went above and beyond.
My friends and I had a great team and Andreas' place. The apartment is perfectly located--only a short walk from many of the attractions in the center of Munich. Andreas was also very helpful when we had a question. The apartment was as described, clean and spacious.
Andreas was so kind to provide us very early check in. It was very important after a long fly. The flat is on a very convient location for us to attain the confernence at ICM and latter for tourism.

We really enjoyed our stay at Andreas' apartment in Munich. It was exactly as described and shown in the photographs. Lots of space to spread out, easy access to public transit and nice to have a guest refrigerator with beverages when we arrived! Both beds were comfortable and parking was generally available in the neighborhood. I should note that the apartment is on the first floor of a busy intersection so there is the usual city noise to consider. If you are a city person this shouldn't be a problem.
Andreas was a very gracious host and his beautiful apartment is centrally located near the university in Munich. The apartment is large and airy, with many modern improvements. Andreas has many intersting books on his field of study - sacred geometry.
Overall we loved spending our time at Andreas' apartment. We are a family of 4, with 2 children aged 3 & 1.5yrs old. It is very spacious, so the kids had plenty of room to run around after a day in the city sightseeing. The space worked perfect for us--having the 2 children in his bedroom...our 3yr old slept in the big bed & Andreas provided a portable crib for our infant. Then my husband and I were able to sleep in the pull out sofa bed (i thought was really comfortable for a sofa!) so that we could stay up later than the kids & have access to other areas without disturbing the kiddos. It was great to have a full kitchen to prepare food for our family vs always going out & the tub was wonderful for bathtime. And the washer/dryer saved us a lot of packing space! The location is great as well, being very close to the english garden and u-bahn/s-bahn stops. If you wanted to walk, the altstadt is probably only 20minutes away...for us it was easier with the kids to use the u-bahn most of the time. There is also a grocery store across the street and plenty of restaurants/pubs, coffee shops, ice cream shops and pretty much anything you could possibly want on the street.
Andreas was a very accommodating host and responded to any questions we had very quickly. He even offered to pick up some basic groceries for us from the market since we arrived on a sunday when the shops were closed. That was very appreciated!
The only somewhat negatives would be noise if you are a light sleeper. It can be a little noisy with the s-bahn trains going by at night & street noise. This did not bother anyone but me though as to the kids it was just "white noise" and my husband is a heavy sleeper. By night 3 i was pretty used to it. Also, if you are more conservative, there are some nude female art canvases in the bathroom that aren't shown in the photos online. They are up high though so my kids didn't pay attention to them & they didn't really bother me, but might to some people. Oh, and for some reason our wifi never worked. We kept trying the password again and again, but it never was accepted. And my husband is good with computers, so I'm not sure what the problem was; however, his apartment is a t-mobil hotspot and we were able to buy wifi for about 15$/week--so not a big deal.
We would definitely stay again because it was in such a great, safe location. We had a wonderful time & hope to be in munich again soon. Thanks, Andreas!
It was a real pleasure to stay in Andreas' stylish and very comfortable apartment. The location is fantastic - just a block from major galleries - and there are terrific places to eat and shop locally. Andreas was very easy to communicate. I would happily stay again!
Andreas' apartment is fantastic! You find in there anything you may wish. Comfortable bed, fast wifi, tasty coffee, a vintage fridge in the living room full of any drink for all tastes and any kind of electronic devices: TV, home theatre, stereo, a notebook for the guests and a large monitor to connect your own desktop. The kitchen, as well the bathroom(s) are perfectly equiped. Several pieces of design (lamps, glass, chairs) make the flat very attractive. I was in Munich for a work meeting and going back to the apartment after a working day made me feel like home. The flat is very spacious (although the photos make it slightly larger than it really is), with two large rooms and two bathrooms it can fit comfortably four people.
The area around the apartment is full of nice restaurants, caffetterias and shops. The apartment is very close to the Old and New Pinacoteque. The historical city is at about 20 minutes walking distance.
Last but not least, Andreas was the perfect host! He showed us everything before leaving the apartment. He will do all he can to make your stay comfortable.
I would like to go back in Andreas' house in my next visit to Munich!
