I enjoy living in the Pacific NW and I have a lovely home that I would like to share with visitors. I am a public health nurse and have lived in the Olympia area for 25 years.

Marianne was very nice and welcoming. I arrived there late on the 4th of July and spent a night at her place. The bedroom was nice and spacious, it is exactly like in the photos, the bed was super comfortable and the dedicated bathroom was nice.
Since I was leaving early next morning, she was thoughtful enough to leave me breakfast on the kitchen counter which consisted of some much needed coffee, bread, butter and fruit. The GPS is not very helpful with the location of her house, but Marianne sent me instructions in a separate email which was helpful. I would definitely recommend this place to someone who wants to go spend some time where it is quiet and relaxing.
Marianne was very kind and welcoming.
The room was exactly as in the photo.
The bathroom was clean and spacious, in the hallway next to the bedroom.
I had the run of the entire main floor of the house to include: living room, kitchen, dining room, and a lovely deck which faces a lawn bordered by forest. It was very quiet and peaceful. I counted at least five baby bunnies playing in the yard when the dogs were inside.
Breakfast supplies consisted of bread, peanut butter, jelly, fresh blueberries, and butter. Coffee washed my PB&J sandwich down. Day 2 I also found a banana.
I slept well in the bed.
I would suggest:
- bring slippers, hardwood floors.
- bring a sleep mask as there are no blinds on the window, if you want to sleep past sunrise.
- ensure the floor-cleaning gobot is deactivated or you will listen to it cleaning the floors from 3-4:30am.
I enjoyed a restful night in this lovely home surrounded by natural beauty. Marianne was a gracious hostess...,and her 2 dogs were most welcoming!
Based on a recommendation by Marianne, I had dinner at the local tavern...,a lot of cold beer on tap, and tasty fried halibut! I would have no hesitation in returning to this home/location.
We had a pleasant stay despite the rain. It is indeed a hilltop home set amidst the forest. Quiet and peaceful. The room was very nice and cozy, bathroom above average. It was especially comfortable sitting in her living room, windows everywhere.
Great value and highly recommend.
I felt right at home at Marianne's quiet hilltop retreat. It was clean and very comfortable. Lovely, peaceful location. Marianne's dogs are sweet and very well-behaved. I am hoping to stay again when I next visit Olympia.
Exactly as listed. Clean, quiet and a perfect location for my needs. Marianne was pleasant, helpful and flexible about check in times. I may stay again in June!
Marianne was good to talk to and very helpful when we were lost....where the house is located is beautiful and very quiet.
Great place to stay! Marianne is a wonderful host and a warm person in general. The house is clean and comfortable. Plus, if you like dogs, she's got two cuties!
C'était pour nous l'hôte idéale : accueil chaleureux, amical et naturel. La maison est très accueillante et lumineuse, en pleine nature.
Nous avons adoré notre séjour et recommandons vivement ce lieu.
Marianne was a wonderful, considerate host. She welcomed us into her beautiful home and even left supplies for a light breakfast the next morning.
I have known Marianne for many years and had the pleasure of staying in her lovely home many times over the years of our long friendship. Her house is very comfortable, quiet and in a beautiful rural setting.
Marianne is an amazing host-- always incredibly welcoming, full of enthusiasm, and an amazing cook. She is very upbeat and fun to be with. You can't go wrong as a guest in her home.
