Allegra´s apartment is amazing! The location couldn't be better: a nice and quiet area but still very central, we could easily walk everywhere. The apartment is super spacious but also cozy, very clean and the bed is extremely comfortable. All the windows face the gorgeous Palazzo´s garden, which can be accessed through the kitchen door. Sitting in the garden in the morning and catching some sunlight to start off the day was a beautiful surprise on my holidays! On top of all that, Allegra is a lovely person and super helpful! She introduced my mother and I to a friend of hers who is also from Brazil over a cup of coffee and they both gave us great advice on places to visit, nice restaurants,... Without a doubt I will book it again next time Im in Florence!
The apartment is beautiful, clean, and perfectly located. Allegra was gracious and helpful -- and always very easy to communicate with. We will definitely stay here again!
The apartment is really fantastic, even better than the pictures. Plus it has a beautiful garden. The neighborhood is great, both quiet and close to everything one wants to see. Allegra was very helpful, as was Carlos. I will try to stay here again next time in Florence.
Thank you Edward I hope to have you stay here again in the future it was wonderful to have you too and i am glad you enjoyed the garden and terrace and that you were lucky with the weather!
This was a fantastic choice. This is a real palazzo. Gardens in the back. The location was perfect. Quiet. Close to the Duomo. Huge apartment beautifully decorated. Allegra was a very amicable and accessible host. The place is stocked with some food and coffee. Full kitchen facilities. Washer (no dryer). For vegans or vegetarians, this loft is close to two vegan or vegetarian restaurants. The cafe across the street serves soy cappuccino. We highly recommend this apartment.
The location of this appartment is perfect, short walking distance to the Duomo, and Via San Gallo is a nice quiet street. Opposite the building there is a really nice inexpensive coffeebar, a great place to start your day. The 15th century palazzo in which the apartment is situated is gorgeous; high ceiling, thick walls, marble floor, sculptures, everything you wish to see when visiting Florence. It's an experience. The apartment itself is a bit dark, but we were there only to sleep so that wasn't really a problem for us. And last but not least: Allegra is a nice, quick and helpful host.
Allegra and Her sister were very kind, helpful and very Available!
The apmt is so nice, well decorated and very clean in a splendid typical Firenze palazzo !! Moreover the studio is Spacious and well situated!
Our trip was perfect and Firenze always so beautiful!
I "like" ;)
Allegra's flat in the Palazzo Pandolfini was great for our visit to Florence. It is close to the historic center but is quiet and faces onto a peaceful garden. The weather was unusually warm for October, but the flat was always pleasantly cool to return to. It was also lovely to be able to spread out & enjoy all the space & comfortable furniture. We took advantage of having a fully functional kitchen & prepared several dinners & breakfasts during our stay, as well as fixing a couple of picnic lunches to carry with us on bus trips to nearby towns.
The combination of the historic palazzo & the flat's modern furnishings reflect Florence itself, which is a fascinating mixture of the old & the new.
Allegra was easy to work with & very responsive during initial inquiry, booking, arrival, and departure.
Speedy Internet, washer/dryer, and kitchen were great features.
It was a wonderful experience. We love the localization.
The apartment is very well equipped and comfortable.Allegra welcomed us and guided us very well, she is an excellent host. We higly recommend this option.
If you plan to visit Florence, you can stay in a Hotel ... or you can stay in a Palace! Yes, this is a true Florentine Palace, reportedly designed by Raffaello Sanzio between 1513 and 1514.
Step through the heavy, wood doors and you may feel as though you have stepped back several centuries. You are greeted by an elegant stone courtyard opening to the garden beyond. The door to the Palazzo is to your left, through another heavy wooden door.
Entering the lobby of the Palazzo, you will find yourself in a lobby that could be the entry to a museum. A stone fountain surmounted by an angel is in the centre; busts of Fio(website hidden) line the walls. A short flight of stairs leads you to the first floor.
The first floor landing is decorated with paintings and more statuary. This truly feels as though you are living in a 16th century palace!
The apartment itself is to the left of the landing, behind an ancient wood door. The apartment is tastefully decorated in antique furniture. The living room includes a desk, facing the window which looks onto the street, a day bed, two arm chairs and a coffee table.
The kitchen is well-equipped, large and seems to be recently renovated. The refrigerator is a “bar fridge” sized refrigerator, but should be perfectly adequate for your needs. The kitchen includes a dishwasher and washer/dryer, perfect for those planning a stay for a week or more.
The spacious bedroom opens off the living room and, once again, makes you feel as though you are residing in a palace. The washroom, containing toilet, sink and bidet, opens off a cleverly concealed door in the bedroom. Another door leads to the bathroom containing a bathtub/shower and sink. The bathroom appears to be recently renovated as well.
While it is true that the apartment is not air conditioned, this was not a problem during our visit in late September/early October. One only has to leave the windows open during the day while out sight-seeing, then close the windows at night when going to bed. The double-paned windows shut out the street noise quite effectively.
We recommend this apartment very highly for those who wish to truly experience Florentine living at its best!
