I'm an avid traveler, have been to 50 countries and hope to add more soon. When I travel I prefer to stay in B&B's, boutique hotels and apartments instead of big fancy hotels. I like the comforts of home and the flexibility of eating in or going out to restaurants and staying in flats allows me this.
My travel has taken me trekking in New Zealand, I climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro, studied Spanish while living with a family in Guatemala and Spain. I also like city vacations where I can stay in the heart of a foreign city and explore the history, culture, museums, food and architecture.
When I travel I always carry a headlamp, the game Scrabble, my iPod freshly loaded with new music, a bag of pretzels and clothes that can be dressed up or worn casual.
My all time favorite places that I have visited to date are Turkey, Burma, Colombia, New Zealand, Iceland and Italy. Who knows, maybe your country will be next!
My day job in San Francisco is as a publicist to a celebrity chef. I know the food world well and like to enjoy new dining experiences when traveling. I am also a volunteer San Francisco walking tour guide. I love living in San Francisco and often treat my city as if I were a tourist in it myself.
