We are 2 people, Miles Courtney and Georgina Maughan, who live together in an apartment in Brooklyn, NY with our dog Tiger. Come stay with us!
My girlfriend and I had a great time at Miles and Georgina's! They were very helpful and gracious hosts the whole time. The room was warm and cozy with the heater they put in and the noise was really not too bad for us. We woke up once the second night because of a truck backing up, but otherwise slept soundly. The location is very convenient to get to the metro and you can get in and out of Manhattan very quickly and easily. We loved their apartment and our overall trip experience. Looking forward to coming back again!
I would highly recommend staying with Miles and George. They are both very welcoming hosts. The spacious apartment has a very convenient location, only two train stops to Manhatten, and walking distance from many bars in vively Williamsburg (Brooklyn) … a neighborhood that shouldn’t be overlooked on a trip to NYC.
Loved this place. It's in a great location and Miles and George were perfect hosts, going out of their way to show us a side of New York we wouldn't have seen otherwise. Can't recommended them enough, would (will?) definitely stay here again!
Miles, George and Tiger were a great family. Easy going and easy to communicate with. VERY flexible. The best things of the room/apartment were the bed and the location near station, L train and G takes you to mid-Manhattan and Williamsburg. BUT room was ultra-noisy had to buy earplug and my headphone on top so I could hear less noise, but really it is NOISY. The way up to the apartment has a strange odeur and the room itself is not cozy at all. This could be a good option as emergency crash pad, but there are a lot better rooms around for less.
Miles, George and Tiger were great hosts. Staying with them felt a bit like having a home in NYC.
The location of the apartment in Williamsburg is perfect to explore the city, and close to the subway. The L and G train takes you to mid-Manhattan and the rest of Brooklyn. In a short walk (or 1 minute on the train) you’re in the centre of Williamsburg. (Brooklyn & especially Williamsburg are fantastic.)
George and Miles were very friendly, helpful and enjoyable. It was a great place to come home to at the end of the day! I would definitely recommend staying there and would stay with them again! Thank you Miles, George and Tiger for everything!
i SPEND 3 night at this place. Nice appartement, but very Noisy. The first night i don't have slept at all? there's a lot of trucks passing this way, and buses stopping just in front the window. But the others nights were better. So if you need quiet, it's not the good place. If you want to party, it's perfect. lot of bars around. miles and georges were compréhensive when i ask them to leave the room because of the noise. they would have refound me, but it haven't be necessery cause i decided to stay.
My 19 year old daughter and I stayed here for 4 nights. It was a good location and a comfortable stay. The place is arranged nicely so it was easy for all of us to have privacy. There is not a private entrance to the room which at first bummed me but ultimately didn't matter. in the end George and I shared a cab ride to the airport which was fun and helpful to us both.
MIles, George and Tiger were excellent hosts! The location of their apartment in Williamsburg a perfect base to explore the city, and close to the subway. We enjoyed their cute rooftop patio, the room was nice, clean and comfortable. They had great suggestions and were very nice people. We would definitely recommend staying there and would stay with them again!
Thank you George and Tiger for a great stay. The apartment is a great base for seeing ny. Although in Brooklyn, it is only a 5 minute walk to the "L" train which takes you smack bang into the middle of Manhattan. It is about a 15-20 minute walk to the centre of Williamsburg, or 1 minute on the train, but there is a fair bit happening around the apartment.
The actual apartment is nice and the bedroom is very pleasant, but can get a bit noisy at night time. that said, do you want to stay somewhere in ny that is quite! if you are a light sleeper, might be best to bring some earplugs.
George is a great host, very cruisy and happy to share her knowledge about the city. Staying with complete strangers can be awkward, but that was not the case at all george and tiger.
I would definitely stay there again.
We loved staying with Georgina, Miles and Tiger. Tiger is THE most sociable and cute dog I've ever seen, by the way. Their apartment is perfect if you want to experience NY from a more local point. Within walking distance there's everything you need included the best coffee at "The West", a brunch place called "Le Barricou" (don't order the pancakes, they're too huge for this world!) and a 24-hour-diner called "Kellog's". The apartments rooftop is a great place for a bbq or a midnight beer. We'll be staying with them again when we get back from our roadtrip in amonth!
Miles and Georgina were perfect guests. I was out of town while they were here, but I met them briefly when they arrived to pass on the key. Georgina maintain communication with me via text while they were here--which I appreciate very much--and they left the apartment clean upon departure. I highly recommend them!
Georgina and family were great guests. I didn't get to meet them but we talked via e-mail and phone. They left the house looking great and followed house rules. Hope to see them again if they have more time to stay in Memphis.
