I am originally from Turkey though I have been living abroad for last 17 years. I am an artist. I like going live gigs, travelling and cultural studies.
The host canceled this reservation 46 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Sila's place was was very spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. She was very friendly and personally guided me to her home from Galata tower. The location was excellent and in close walking distance to beautiful shops, restaurants and a metro station. It was excellent value for the money and I would strongly encourage any one to stay here.
Sila is a great host who welcomed me with a super warm welcome and smile. She also gave me tons of local tips of restaurants and bars. Her place is great and super well located, right in the middle of the lively and bustling neighborhood of Karakoy.
Sila was an amazing and gracious host, patient as we tried to find her place in the labyrinthine streets of Istanbul, helping us get settled and introducing us to the very kind shopkeeper downstairs. I wish we had the chance to stay longer to enjoy more of the neighbourhood. As far as the location goes, it couldn't be more perfect. A lovely flat situated just a short walk from great restaurants, the river, SoHo House, Galata Tower, and so much more. Plenty to explore and a super host. You couldn't ask for a better spot
L'appartement est très bien situé; rénové et meublé avec beaucoup de goût. Sila a été joignable et réactive avant et pendant notre séjour, elle nous a même conseillé de bonnes adresses. Je recommande vivement ce logement.
Sila's apartment is even more beautiful than the photos show! It's clean, warm, nice smellin', quiet and everything in it works great.
The location is the best, Sila is helpful and a great communicator. I can't imagine a better apartment. We really lucked out!
Staying at Sila's flat was my first experience with Airbnb through my own account, and it could not have been better in any way.
The flat itself is beautiful. Very spacious and full of artwork and books and albums. Also, very bright during the day. It is exactly as described - stylish and historical. I slept so well; I was incredibly comfortable being here. It was the kind of place one would love to call home. It was very hard for me to leave, actually.
The neighborhood is busy during the day (except Sunday), not with tourists but with people working and going about their daily lives. Very quiet and empty during the night. The location is quite perfect I think. Beyoğlu itself is a very neat area with lots of good food and shops. A nice choice for a central location. Galata bridge is just down the hill, so it is very easy to go explore Sultanahmet if you like. And Istiklal cadessi/Taksim is just as close in the other direction for what might be the best night life on the planet.
Sila was a perfect host. For starters, she responded to my request within minutes. She was also very flexible with check in/check out times, which was important to me. She even went out of her way to recommend cool places in the area to check out, including galleries and venues to see some live music. Very helpful and friendly.
Again, this was my first experience booking with Airbnb and Sila made it a wonderful one. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
Sila's apartment is beautiful, charming, and in a perfect location. Walking distance from Istiklal, Taksim, Kadiköy, it is the best location from which to explore Istanbul. While I was there on my own, it could comfortably take 2-3 people. Sila is a lovely host and generous with her time and knowledge of local gems in the area and in Istanbul generally.
I have tried quite a few apartments in Istanbul. That was the best one. I kinda value it is an apartment the owner lives in and not just property they have invested on through AirBnB. This feels more personal to me and I like that element; it gets you a bit closer to local culture.
The apartment is nicely decorated, tastefully furnished, and has a bit of interesting touches all around like records and plenty of books in English I'd be tempted to read if staying indoors was my thing. Sila has been graded a Super-host by previous guests and for a good reason. One thing, she's great at recommending places. Checking-in and out also worked smoothly for me.
Being a usual in Istanbul I'd recommend both the apartment and Galata as the area to stay in.
We stayed in Sila's flat for four days.
The location is very central and if you are into antiques this is the place to be. Flat is true to the photos, always a relief.
Flat has all you need, great bed and and a comfy lounge.
Plenty of space for two and architecture typically old Istanbul.
If you are into five star hotels this is not for you, if you are you will probably never read this so all is well.
We loved it here and felt like locals.
Sila was awesome, communication easy, there on arrival even though we were an hour late. Planes and airports? What more can I say.
Happy to recommend Sila's flat.
Overall a wonderful experience and Sila is always welcome!
Highly recommended guest- teşekkürler :)
