I am originally from Turkey though I have been living abroad for last 17 years. I am an artist. I like going live gigs, travelling and cultural studies.
Very nice place! The building is old and charming, the apartment is neat and furnished with all the necessities: comfy bed, hot shower, WiFi, little kitchen, and cozy living room. It looks down on a quiet street with antiques shops and pedestrians; there are several good cafes nearby, and it is in walking distance of bustling, popular areas of the city. The tram is a close walk, which takes you to all the main attractions. Sila was very quick and friendly with her correspondence, and gave us links and tips about things to do in the city. She met us at the apartment upon our arrival, and was flexible with our check-out time (which is really helpful since our flight was in the evening). Overall, an excellent stay, and great host! Would stay here again.
Perfect in every way! Sila was very friendly and very quick to respond to emails. I chose the apartment because it's in my favourite location in Istanbul quiet small streets full of antique shops and amazing Istiklal street just a couple of minutes up the street with all it's cafes, clubs, restaurants, shops...
The apartment itself is also perfect, quiet, tastefully decorated, high ceilings, very comfortable bed and very clean. Sila has really thought of everything including leaving some fruits and biscuits, and with a hairdryer and hair straighteners what more could a boy want for a perfect stay in Istanbul :)
Thank you for a perfect stay in Istanbul...I'll be back!
Clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated home. We didn't meet Sila but we were in regular contact with both her and her sister, and they were both very kind and helpful. The apartment is well located, would definitely stay here again. Thanks Sila!
We had a very comfortable stay in Silas' apartement !
I was hesitating on which neighborhood to stay in while in Istanbul for 4 nights and Silas' apartment was very well located and very comfortable. Low key neighborhood with antique stores, close to the main drag but the aprt is nestled away in a cute and quiete little street. It is roomy and very well distributed. It is close to nice coffe shops and delicious restaurants. We felt very much at home (the neighborhood/aprt reminded me of the Lower East Side in NYC).
Sila was an excellent host. We had a fantastic stay in this lovely, clean and cosy appartment. The bedroom is quiet and the bed is so perfect, very comfortable after one day walking around, is the best thing you can find!
The day of our arrival in Istanbul, she waited for us until 1am in her flat. Thank you again Sila!
The flat is very well located, the neighborhood is very nice, with very nice coffee, restaurant, shops..
I highly recommend her apartment to everyone.
Sila's flat was the perfect hideaway from busy istanbul. Tucked away on a picturesque street, there is nothing more relaxing than the cute, nicely furnished and pleasantly decorated flat to come back to after a busy day on the streets of Istanbul. Perfectly located between Istiklal and the port the neighbourhood s full of antique shpos, cafes and restaurants. Sila was very friendly and helpful and she wIted for us patiently although we were two hours late.. I can't imagine a better setting for a tourist in the city.
We were very happy with our stay at Sila's flat. The flat's location in the laid back, hilly neighborhood of Cukucurma was ideal for exploring Beyoglu. Istiklal Street was just a few minutes' walk from the door. We also made good use of the Tophane tram stop at the bottom of the hill.
The building has wonderful historical details and the flat itself is stylish and comfortable, without being excessively adorned.
Sila was a kind a welcoming host, and not at all obtrusive. Prior to our arrival, she shared great recommendations of her favorite spots in the area. When she handed us the keys, she let us know that we could contact her if needed. I would definitely stay in this flat again.
Sila's flat is beautiful and is close to istiklal caddesi, cihangir and also ports such as karakoy and kabatas if you need to go to the anatolian side. It's on a lovely and quiet street. There are some very nice places for food and drinks very close.
Another good thing is that even though the weather was really hot, the flat was still cool inside.
Sila is a very cool host, provided tons of tips and always very helpful. Her flat is well located near Taksim place, quite street but close to main street, nice options for breakfast to dinner.
We had such a lovely stay at Sila's apartment: stylish, comfortable and clean in a wonderful part of Istanbul- our trip couldn't have been better! Her recommendations were great and Sila was a gracious hostess! Highly recommended!
Overall a wonderful experience and Sila is always welcome!
Highly recommended guest- teşekkürler :)
