I am a graduate student studying in Chicago, who has spent a lot of time travelling in Europe. I am an aspiring French teacher, and currently work in a public school as a paraprofessional. Since I work with children, I am always reminding them to be respectful and to take care of themselves, their friends, and others. It's a wonderful lesson to keep in mind every day, and I strive to be an example for the kids I teach.
I like to travel with a friend, and discover new places together. I've found that the absolute best way to get to know a city is through the locals. I really experienced travelling the first time I used (website hidden). Before that, I was going through the motions of tourism. It gives a place so much more meaning to experience it through the eyes of someone that lives there.
I love France!! I've spent around 2 and a half years there in various capacities (student, teacher, student again, leader for an exchange program), and would love to be back there.
I enjoy all sorts of movies, but especially sci-fi, british comedies, ridiculous american comedies that I would never admit to any student, french films (excepting the monotonous ones), etc.
I eat way too frequently at restaurants, and live in a suburb of Chicago that has an insane amount of restaurants per square block. They are all excellent too, which makes it even harder to resist. Which means, I'm more than open to restaurant recommendations wherever I go, and probably have several for anyone that asks. :)
