We had a fab time in NY and Gila's apartment was the perfect base. Quirky home in a superb location so close to fab restaurants, bars etc. The location felt very secure. Added bonus was the convenience to Williamsburg, a wonderful stroll over the bridge to the Sunday flea market and many cool hangouts. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Thank you Gila for help with our missing luggage etc.
Wonderful studio apartment in a great neighborhood! There were small glitches regarding some linens but that was due to her already being out of town and my last-minute booking. She was super helpful about remedying the minor problem! It was actually not a problem for me personally because my weekend plans kept me so busy anyways! Also, it was really easy to arrive and depart at my convenience! I would stay here again because it is a super cute and perfectly located apartment! I just wish I had had more free time to relax there! All in all, a pleasant stay! Thanks!
The studio apt had a very convenient location, and provided everything we needed for an amazing trip to NYC.
- Cozy and stylish studio
- Metro-stations very close by
- The apt had everything we needed
- Great service and friendliness from the host
- Great location (East Village, SoHo, Orchard St, China Town for dumplings..!)
The apartment is a short walk away from Chinatown & soho and is very convienent, we can walk or bus everywhere. However, this also makes it very noisy at night. The bed is too small to sleep two comfortably. The shower area is also small. It is impossible to turn without bumping into something in the shower. The air circulation of the apartment is poor. There is only one window that can be open so we cannot create a crossbreeze even with the fan on, we felt the air was stuffy inside, and makes it hard to sleep at night. The owner also did not leave us any closet space or drawer. We ended up living out of our suitcases for 9 nights. I undeerstand that she lives there, but just one empty drawer and some hanging space would have been nice. All in all, the location is the only pro for this place.
Everything was great. The apartment was comfortable, quiet, clean, and cozy. It was in a vibrant part of the city-a short walk from a whole bunch of great restaurants. Gila was great in terms of communicating and taking care of everything. I would highly recommend.
This place was perfect for two in an amazing location. Check in and check out was extremely simple and Gila was great! Beautiful apartment. Thanks for everything!
This was a nice stay for my husband and myself for 6 nights.
The room is cozy and a good size for one or two people. The New York apartment sizes are generally tiny and we expected that as well. The shower is good however the shower head pressure is very low compared to newer shower heads. The bed is firm and can fit two people but if you are over 6 feet tall it's likely not to fit your height.
There is a full kitchen and fridge there so you can chose not to eat out and make food in house which is very handy!
It's 10 min away from all the great restaurants in Soho and Little Italy etc - so a good location.
If you are a light sleeper this apartment will be a challenge during the night - trucks, loud cars and people can be heard from the apartment. It's not an issue if you are a heavy sleeper. We also heard some strange pipe noises a few nights but not every night.
Overall the place is nice and is good for a single or couple.
Me and my wife stayed in Gila's flat almost a week. It was our first AIRBND experience and it was very positive.
Gila is easy to communicate landlady and during our stay we had no any troubles - even she was out of the city=) She delegate her friend to help us and we had no any troubles and lack of help during the stay,
Her apartment is well located (main NY subway lines are just 5 min walk) and very nice to stay. We found there free Internet, great double bed and lot of clean and fresh towels. Folks from Russia - be ready that NY flats is not so big=) This flat is great for two (three is a max).
Nightlife in this territory is very rich - a lot of cafes, art galleries and nice restaurants. From the other hand we had no troubles with noise during the night (just subway on the bridge but is was not strong).
So if you need place to sleep for affordable price - it is what you need.
Gila's place is really comfortable (for a couple) and in a perfect position to visit NY! We stayed there 6 days and everything was perfect. Unluckily we weren't able to meet Gila, but she was always in contact by email and super helpful!
The street is quiet, but in the neighborhood there are many interesting zone for nightlife.
If we come back to NY, we'll surely try to come back here!
The studio was clean and comfortable, it was as described, in a great location. It was a lovely place and made for a relaxing stay.
I recommend Gila as a guest . She and Boris were friendly and funny and I enjoyed their stay at Aerolito.
