I'm a former caterer (Washington, D.C.) and college fundraiser (Randolph College, Virginia) who taught business English in Santiago, Chile for 2 1/2 years before moving to Lima. I grew up in a military family and lived all over the States, in London, and in Bangkok. After years of traveling abroad, I wanted to live abroad again. South America is a new adventure for me and a wonderful education. I love making new friends of all ages, cooking and entertaining, trying new restaurants, exploring the arts and culture of other countries, tackling the every day challenges of living abroad. Food is the center of my universe; besides that, I love indie movies, the arts, and helping people. I like to have my amenities when I travel (after all, I did all my backpacking when I was in my 20s), but am very flexible and easy to get along with. Airbnb has been a great way to get to know people all over. My motto: World peace, one dinner party at a time.
