I live in beautiful Western Massachusetts but love traveling and fellow travelers. I am constantly trying to make the house and land more comfortable and accommodating for those passing through.

The listing was mostly as described. However, the mouse poop in the kitchen cupboards, who also ate our avocados, seems to be a longstanding problem. There were also ants all over the sink because we had to leave dishes in the sink, due to the broken dishwasher. Further, having a dog locked away in one of the rooms seemed odd and unfair to the dog.
Just got back from spending the weekend at Gail's beautiful home. My sister had her wedding at Look Park which was only 6 minutes away driving so very convenient. The cabin was great, has everything you need to make yourself feel at home. Gail was very flexible with check in and even stopped by to say hello. We LOVED sitting around the fire pit at night and grilling on the deck during the day. There was plenty of room for the 5 adults and 2 kids. My only negative was since it was a cabin, noise definitely traveled inside which is hard when you have an 8 month old and 3 year old who are up at 6am. So just something to keep in mind if you are planning to travel with kids and other families. Overall, we could not have asked for a better place to spend the weekend. Thanks Gail!!! all the way from San Francisco
My family stayed at Gail's house for a long weekend to be near the venue of my son's wedding. We were looking for a place that allowed pets so that my sons could bring their dogs (2 medium-sized ones). The house and beds were very clean and comfortable and provided us a place for family and friends in the wedding to gather. The house is a mere 12 minutes from the farm venue which was convenient. We enjoyed the woodsy setting where we could let the dogs off leash without worrying about traffic nearby. The open floor plan and deck were conducive to hosting additional people for a meal, and provided different spaces for several small groups to congregate and talk. The first night was cold and we happily fired up the wood stove to take the chill off during the evening.
We would have appreciated knowing that Gail and her pets would be staying in a different part of the house. We were unexpectedly introduced to her cat when we opened the cellar door from the kitchen. It didn't prove to be a problem, but might have if our dogs had spotted her cat in an open area. We could not get the dishwasher to start.
We had a great 4 days in Haydenville. The house was just right for 3 couples (would also work for 4). Beautiful setting and extremely clean. Perfect!
She replied very promptly to my emails before my visit, gave very clear directions, and was flexible about check-in time. The house description was accurate and the area is beautiful.
The house was perfect for our group; comfortable gathering space, inside and outdoors, for meals and conversation. Comfortable bedrooms and living room furniture!
We rented the house for a long weekend and it was a very nice experience. The house was very well maintained and very comfortable. There was plenty of space for the 8 of us that stayed there. The large deck and nice backyard was also very enjoyable. I would definitely rent this house again!
This could be a 5-star place with a little work. It's attractive, comfortable, and in a nice setting, but one of the bedrooms can't be used right now, and there is a lack of hand towels and places to hang clothes and towels.
Gail was very accommodating and pleasant, she answered any questions or concerns we had right away. We enjoyed our stay the home was very cozy and welcoming, loved the location, it was perfect for us and the puppies! Thank you Gail for providing a pleasant stay!
I can't wait to go back. The house was even bigger than it looks from the pictures. We had four families stay here and it was a bit tight with young kids, but really very comfortable. The location in the woods was wonderful. We enjoyed the fire pit and playing on the public basketball court nearby. The house was a short 15 minute drive to great restaurants and shops in Northampton and about 30 minutes from Amherst, which was perfect for our trip. Gail was a very responsive host. All in all a great visit.
Gail and her friends are lovely people. Great guests who left the house spotless. They enjoyed their two night stay and made the best of the good weather to explore West Cork. Would be delighted to have them back again.
Gail was a very symphathic guest and is always welcome again.
Gail was a very good guest and I would be happy to have her again.
