Creative female; friendly and outgoing - with eclectic tastes.
I live back in Antwerp, Belgium since 2008 after 11 years of Bristol in the UK where I worked in an art gallery, as an assistant to a local artist and for the Association for Contemp. Jewellery. My vocation/ training is jewellery designer/maker but I am currently out of a workshop due to living circumstances which is a bit sad. I finished a 2 yrs lingerie/corset making course last school year and am looking to embark on costume making at some stage.
I love live music gigs, dancing, reading and writing, cooking and travelling; which took me all over Europe and into Indonesia, Thailand, India and Nepal where I lived for a brief time. Recently I took my niece/goddaughter Emma to New York for her 18th birthday (Sept '12 just before Sandy) which I hope instilled some of the wanderlust in her. She was an absolute delight to travel with, open to new acquaintances and experiences.
There's a bucket list of places I still want to see; sometimes just because of the sound of the name (Zanzibar to name but one) because they make me dream. Other places appeal because of nature or customs, music... Which is why New Orleans is my destination next.
Mardi Gras 2013 will be my way to voodoo the midlife crisis of hitting 50.
I've already done the motorbike thing and life is simply too short.
I like to laugh, a lot.
