trentenaire ouverte d'esprit et curieuse... artiste, activiste et académique.
Véro's apartment is just as it looks in the photos posted online, and completely matches her description of it. It is a perfect little cozy nest for a very pleasant stay in Montréal--actually, not that little! It is spacious and warm and clean. We were there during a cold snap (-24C), yet inside we were comfortable. It is an old-style flat, very "plateau" in feel, with a grad.student/artist vibe... and with Véro's interesting, thoughtful, contemplative abstract paintings on the walls. No problem with street parking.
The neighbourhood is great, full of nice cafés and little grocery shops, restaurants of all stripes, bakeries, a bagel shop, little boutiques, parks... and very quick access to downtown and the Mountain.
We didn't meet Véro, but all my dealings with her online were very easy and pleasant. I'd definitely recommend this apartment, and will surely return to it myself! Enjoy the city I love!
Vero was wonderful as a host.
It was the first time using AirBnb and needed a place near where I was working. It was short notice and she came through. She even gave a bit of a discount because my flight was delayed a day due to snow and didn't arrive until the next morning. The place was warm and welcoming. It has all you need. I would recommend Vero's to others. She's sweet and the place feels like an apartment in Montreal...lol because it is!
I had a lovely stay at Vero's place. It was within walking distance to Jean Talon market and the Rosemont Metro station. There is also a good amount of parking space on the street for those who are driving in. The place is fairly well kept and clean with linens provided. Overall it was a pleasant experience, merci!
Vero has a very nice apartment with lots of old world charm. Neighbourhood is nice and quiet with a great Jamaican restaurant and some grocery stores down the street. Vero was accommodating and helpful.
We had a great time in Veros's apt. It was clean, easy to find, and close to subway and walking distance to light shopping and great places to eat. I would recommend this apt. to family and friends for sure.
This rental is excellent value in a funky apartment--I describe it as the apartment you wish you had in grad school!, within walking distance of some great food and shopping strips. Jean Talon market is walkable; the shops on Beaubien very accessible. The 3-CD collection of Marlene Dietrich is a highlight!
The apartment is located on the second floor (2 flights of stairs) of a traditional Montreal downtown house. We were warmly welcomed by Véro who showed us around the apartment, provided directions to areas of interest near-by and left us feeling like we were “home”.
The decorating is eclectic with lots of very good CDs and a great book collection that might entice you to stay in for your entire stay! Located in a VERY quiet neighbourhood with ample free parking, the 2-bedroom unit was comfortable and clean considering the age of the building. Located a 15 minute drive from the “Centre-ville” it had restaurants and other attractions close-by. Cosy and welcoming it is ideal for someone visiting Montreal for a few days.
The reservation was canceled 55 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
We totally recommend Vero's place...large space, good location and had everything we needed! Grand merci!
The apartment is big, very artistic, with a cool vibe. It is very typical Montreal place. There is a lot of reclaimed rustic furniture and interesting art pieces. We stayed in the guest bedroom that we liked. The bed is a bit on a tougher side but we managed. Kitchen is well equipped. Towels are the best. the place is at Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie area where I actually never really been before although I use to live in MTL for many years. Its a new it neighborhood just north of "too trendy" Le Plateau. Rosemont metro surrounding looks a bit dodgy although it is safe. When you get near the apartment, barely 7min walk, area becomes much nicer: cute families, moderate hipsters and such. There are a lot of very nice places to eat, drink and have a coffee with amazing dessert right on Baubien. You can get even better stuff at Mile End - within 15 min walk. Vero has all the important information and the best suggestions printed out. The apartment is walking distance from Jean-Talon Market, Little Italy and Plaza Saint Hubert. This trip we did not even go anywhere near the downtown as we had too much fun exploring all that places. It it not far from downtown though - a very short subway ride. Vero is very efficient and accommodating host, communication was a bit slow as she was not at the city for a while but everythign worked out the best way. We parked car right at the street for free without any problems. If you visit for a long weekend pay attention to parking limitations since holidays are considered as week days in MTL. We recommend the place for your MTL visit.
Véro is a super women ! She is very open and respectful , we could receive her for 1 week , she was also very interested in our culture and this was her 5 visit yo México :) that is great !
