Vishnu's place is a little out of the way if you are looking for something centrally located, but if a quiet, large, well furnished, comfortable space is your thing then it's pertfect. There are shuttles out of the complex and taxi's are only a phonecall away. I would definitely recommend him as a host as he was kind enough to wait up past midnight to hand me the keys as I my flight was delayed.

Our experience with Vishnu was very good. He helped us out by making the the place occupancy ready on a very short notice. He is a a no-nonsense host, very direct and clear about what he could do for us and what to expect of the place. The apartment was comfortable and our ability to use the gym facility made the stay extra relaxing. Internet speed was a bit of an issue for us but we managed to work around it, as this was the highest speed available as per our host. The bed, bathrooms and kitchen were clean and inviting. Vishnu had a welcome package laid out for us which helped us out with the immediate requirement of fruits, vegetables, toiletries and few other sundry items, we heartily thank him for that. The location of this place is a bit out of the way for most Bangaloreans so to get a cab can be a bit challenging at times, we soon learned to plan our travels and book a cab a day ahead of time, keep the landmark and address handy because the cab driver is going to call you and ask for directions. Pizza-Hut and a few other restaurant's food delivery is available for those very first few nights. All in all I recommend the place for someone looking for a quiet, peaceful tranquil time away form the city.
I stayed at Vishnu's apartment for a month and a half. Vishnu was such a gracious host, he explained everything in detail in the beginning, and was very responsive during our stay. I came there to do some work out of the apartment with a colleague of mine, and Vishnu was very accommodating with that. I mentioned that we needed a good internet connection, and he upgraded the internet speed before we got there. He showed me around the area and we quickly got settled in. Vishnu is easy to get along with. We had lunch twice, and both times we talked for a long time. Also everyone we met there at the apartment complex were friendly.
As for the apartment. It is nice & spacious, it is a new apartment, and it has everything you need. There is plenty of sun coming in, it overlooks a hill, and there is good breeze by there. The apartment complex offers a free shuttle service to different spots in Bangalore till late afternoon; there is a fitness area with a gym, pool, and table tennis room; and that there is a small grocery store in the complex as well. I used the shuttle to mainly go to Jayanagar. While we stayed there, we didn't have a vehicle, so we ordered in food from 3 different places, took the shuttle service, or called Ola Cabs for car rides. The walk-able things by the apartment are the fitness area, the grocer, and a restaurant called Holiday Village which had amazing food.
I'd recommend staying at Vishnu's place.
Though it is located 3-4km from the main road, the advantages is obvious as you enter the unit. Functionally clean and spacious, the two bedroom layout (with the two toilets) can easily accommodate 4 adults, or a family of 5-6. There's an equally generous facility in the complex too: air-conditioned gym, big pool, and the free shuttle bus that can give you access to the main road, or public bus stops to the city center.
If you are here to visit The Art of Living ashram, this is a highly recommended place to stay if you are living off campus. There aren't many choices with such facility in this price range. And if you talk to Srikanth, he should be able to arrange a 2 or 4-wheeled transport shall you need one. He's genuinely helpful and a very kind host.
