Hello my name is Giorgia, I grew up and currently staying in Sfakia, a lovely small traditional village next to the sea which is located in the most southern part of Crete island in Greece.

The apartment is part of a small block of other apartments, sharing an outdoor terrace space and facing the lovely little public beach in Sfakia. This didn't bother us at all (particularly because nobody was staying in the other apartments at the time!), but you might want to be aware of it all the same. The apartment itself is simple and clean and the location just can't be faulted. Georgia didn't tell us where to pick the keys up but we worked out from previous reviews that you get them from the Livikon Hotel on the bay, just 3 minutes' walk away. All in all this was a lovely place to stay.
The room is wonderful situatet. Not typical for airbnb - next to the flat are 3 others which belong to the same hotel.
We have never met Giorgia but Ali, who looks after the rooms, was kind and helpfull. All in all the relation of price to benefit for the room was not satisfying.
Very nice studio just in front of the beach! We really enjoyed our stay! The studios are numbered from 1 to 4 and even if you book No. 4, you might be switched into another one and they all look slightly different, so if you have any preferences you should make it clear in advance (studio 3 and 4 have a far better view than 1 and 1). The kitchen could supply a little more cuttlery and cooking equipment, some things were missing first, but there's always someone around to ask, very friendly and helpful! The apartments lie quiet close to each other, so you can get in touch with your neighbours. Thanks to Josef and Ali for good service and company!
Apartment was exactly as described and worked perfectly well for our little 3-person family. I was a little nervous about the check-in process, figuring out where to park our car, etc., but all of that ended up working out smoothly. We had asked for a portable crib for our 2-year-old, and they had it set up when we got there. Everyone was very friendly. In other words: everything was great!
The view and town are both absolutely wonderful, by the way. If you're looking for a charming, small-village experience while visiting Crete, Sfakia/Hora Skafron is the place!
If we had a chance to do our trip over again knowing what we know now, we would have stayed here the whole time. First of all Chora Sfakia is a gorgeous friendly little resort town. Absolute Paradise. We were directed by Giorgia to the Taverna that maintained the apartments. They were clean and well stocked. We had a big window that faced the beach so we fell asleep and woke to the ocean every day. We had breakfast on the terrace every morning. Fresh bread from the town bakery, with local thyme honey, fresh eggs, local yogurt, and olive oil. It was heaven. When we felt like a swim the beach was a 30 second walk away. You're also only a ferry ride away from the Samaria Gorge if you feel the need for a beautiful hike.
If you are going to Crete, go to Chora Sfakia, if you're staying in Chora Sfakia, stay here.
Georgia's apartment was clean, lovely with an incredible view !
We stayed for 1 night and were perfectly satisfied.
We got the keys at Livikon restaurant after parking our car next to the bakery were Georgia works (very good point because the place is really crowded) and a waiter showed us our room with shared terrace.
The beach, very clean and pleasant, was at 20m from the room, a real luxury !!
The only thing that could have been a problem had we stayed longer, was the bathroom. It was wet and had no real opening to let the air come through. But since we were here for a short time, it did not cause any worry.
We recommend the place !
Such a beautiful experience in Sfakia, far away from mass tourism seen in other parts of Crete. Giorgia has been very welcoming. They gave us some useful advice. The studio is clean, well equipped and air conditioned !! Waking up every morning with such a view from the balcony is priceless. We really enjoyed our time there!
