Originally from Berlin, Germany, grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, and spent the last decade or so working at tech companies in San Francisco. I'm now in my mid thirties and recently moved to Rockville, Utah, right outside of Zion National Park. I live with my boyfriend and my dog Lola in a 3 bedroom house on a quiet side street in Rockville. We are surrounded by beautiful sandstone mesas and of course the amazing giant canyon of Zion National Park.
We love to play outdoors, whether it's hiking, climbing, canyoneering (a sport particularly prominent in Southern Utah), or just walking the dog. We are often out exploring the nearby wilderness areas of Utah on weekends, and we travel for longer stints a few times a year.
When we're not working or exploring the outdoors, we're enjoying life in Rockville: hosting friends for dinner, visiting the farmer's market and the local coffee shop, and working on projects around the house. We have a few fruit trees in the yard, and I grow a variety of herbs and vegetables throughout the year.
My boyfriend is an outdoor guide for a local guide company, and I work remotely (telecommute) for a tech company in San Francisco. We are both committed to being involved in our local community, and making a comfortable, environmentally friendly home. We love to share our house and local area with visitors.
