Andrew left the whole house to ourselves and we really appreciate his trust.
The house is decorated very well, beautiful and comfortable. It was still a bit chilly so we didn't have a chance to sit on a beautiful patio.
Although Andrew wasn't there he answered all my questions over the phone immediately and made sure we have everything and felt comfortable.
The bathroom and our room was clean. Comfortable bed.
We stayed for two days and never have had a problem with finding parking.
Definitely would recommend this place to friends and family.
We really enjoyed staying at Andrew's place. He's a very friendly and easy-going guy and a wonderful host, always respectful and kind. And he makes great coffee indeed :). The bedroom provides plenty of space, and it is very convenient to have a private bathroom too. In terms of location, it is a quiet and safe neighborhood. The house is close to Rock Creek Park, which is nice if you like to go out for walks, and the nearby buses bring you downtown in about 30-40 minutes.
Andrew's home is a lovely building that provides ample space for any guests to feel at home during the stay. Andrew did an amazing job in accommodating us and making us feel welcome. He provided all expected amenities, and proved himself available for any extra details, such as parking details. you can easily reach DC or Silver Springs with a quick bus ride, so this listing was ideal for us wanting to have it all within arms reach.
Andrew was a wonderful host! He made me feel really welcome and at home right from the start, and I had a lovely time at his historic rowhome. the house is gorgeous, really tastefully decorated with period pieces that complement the property. there is a fabulous backyard for sitting in the evenings, and the room I had was very comfortable and spacious. it had an A/C window unit, but the summer was quite cool so it wasn't always needed. The neighbourhood is really eclectic, with 14th street offering diversity of places and people, and on the other side 16th street with its stately homes. great area for a morning run. As a longtime DC resident Andrew had great advice on attractions, restaurants and transport links.
I even had a friend stay over with me one night, and Andrew made us all coffee in the morning. In fact, he makes really good coffee every morning (bonus!). All in all, a thoughtful host, who offers great tips but also afforded me privacy when i needed it. I really recommend staying with Andrew if you're in DC!
