Some confusion about checking in but otherwise no issues there. I think that the room itself was cozy and welcoming. The sheets themselves were a little bit warm for a hot summer evening and our point of contact had left before we could ask her to change them. It was a quick stay so no real complaints.
The Big Cozy Room in the quite large “Cuddlehaus” worked out perfectly for my stay in Portland. The room (really two rooms: a sitting room/living area and a very small bedroom) is out of the way, so you don’t feel in the way of the normal goings-on of the house. I met several of the tenants throughout my stay there, and each was nice and helpful. The entire house was clean and comfortable and has at least two very nice and cuddly cats. I am not a cat person, but these guys were great. I will certainly look Shannon and this house up if I am ever back in Portland, and I recommend this place to other Airbnb users.
Hi, Shannon. Thank you very much for having me. It's really comfortable stay. If I have a chance to come Portland again, I'll contact you. Thanks Makoto
Shannon's place was great. House was pretty clean and the location is pretty close too. I think, her listing price is very reasonable and overall it was a good experience.
I didn't get to meet her as she was traveling, but looking at her book collection, I can imagine she's a very interesting lady!
Shannon was a great host! She had everything ready for us, made sure we didn't need anything, and was completely accommodating. We were only there for one night, but I would return the next time I'm in Portland. Sweet orange kitty came to visit at one point, and he was very cuddly.
This was my first airbnb experience and I had a great time :) The house was clean and homey; all of the housemates were super friendly; and it was easy to get to all areas of Portland.
The "Cuddlehaus" is a lovely 20's style house that appears to be exactly
in the center of Portland. Every time we decided to go someplace
(Japanese Garden, Chinese Garden, well-rated restaurant, night club) it
was always about a five-minute drive. Yet the house itself is on a
quiet, green and leafy neighborhood street, about half a block from a
large park. There is quick access to bus lines, too.
The "artists and musicians" are quiet and easy to get along with. Nobody is loud
or obnoxious, but rather pleasant and even-tempered. They always seemed
to have time to stop for a chat between their many excursions. Although the kitchen lacks a microwave, it does have three different ways to make coffee and the washer/dryer works great and is super-convenient.
The cats, Oliver and Frankenstein, are very affectionate and once you
scratch behind their ears, they are your best friends in the whole
world. The bed is comfortable and we slept very well.
My stay at Shannon's house was great. Shannon was very friendly and everything was as described in the listing. Her housemates were very nice too. The house is conveniently located to several major bus lines and is walkable to many different areas in NE Portland. Parking on the street was easy as well. I would definitely recommend staying at the Cuddlehaus the next time you're in Portland.
Shannon was friendly and helpful from before I arrived through my entire visit. The other housemates were equally delightful when I came across them in the kitchen (and gave me suggestions on where to find the best gluten-free, vegan baked goods). The room was exactly as shown--small but comfy! Perfect for a solo traveler, or two who don't mind sharing tight space.
The neighborhood is cute and several bus routes run frequently around town from easy walking distance. There's also a grocery store a short walk away. I did quite a bit of wandering in different directions and found everything fairly easily accessible.
I would also like to thank the resident kitties, Frankenstein and Oliver, for graciously sharing their sleeping space with me. I left the door unlatched and got much-desired kitty snuggles and purrs each night.
Shannon's place is homey and rustic, pleasant and clean. The bed was comfortable, house mates amicable and the cats adorable. The place was in order, provided all my needs and I would stay here again. Nice location and very mellow neighborhood within a half block of a huge park. Shannon was out of town for my visit and I did not get a chance to meet her. I did, however, enjoy her eclectic collection of books. Thanks Shannon : ) Rob
Nice and easy.
Shannon and her friends were great guests at our vacation rental in Welches, Oregon. She was easy to communicate with and left the home in great shape. We highly recommend Shannon to other hosts and hope she stays at the Huckleberry Chalet again in the future. Thanks Shannon!
Shannon and her friend were very nice guests and I recommend them to all future hosts!
Nice adventurous people!
Shannon is a super sweet lady with a beautiful, classically Portland home. The location is great with easy access to public transit, great food, and good bars. She is laid-back, friendly, and has hosted lots of interesting and happy Airbnb guests!
