I'm 26-years old, originally from the Galillee but living in Jerusalem for the past 2 years studying medicine. I'm friendly, easy-going, clean and non-smoking.
Thanks for trusting us with your place. Omer left the entire place to us and trusted us to treat the place as if it was ours. The guitar provided endless hours of entertainment when all the shops were closed due to sabbath. It is 20 - 30mins walk to the Old City. There isn't a washing machine though, but if you are able to wash your clothes by hand, there is a balcony to hang your clothes out to dry.
First of all the apartment is in a great location. About a 10 minute walk to Ben Yehuda Street and only a few minutes to Mahane Yehuda market as other reviewers have stated. It's also about a 15-20 minute walk to the central bus station to get to and from Tel Aviv. Checking in was very easy and communication was good. There was a mistake on the original post for this apartment stating that it had a washing machine and I actually planned my trip (I was traveling about a week before) based on this expectation. It was a bit of a pain to have to find a laundromat but Omer did compensate me for my cost. Overall, the apartment was a bit less than my expectation partially because of this and partially because the other reviews were so great. The bed was comfortable but there was no room to put my clothes (all the closets were full) and there was no iron or ironing board as well. Also, though the hot water in the bathroom was good, the bath curtain was grungy (very brown at the bottom) and it was hard to keep water from getting into the rest of the bathroom. One of the computer chairs in the bedroom was also very gross looking with stains all over it. However, the sheets and bed were clean. There was a strange smell in the front of the apartment every time I walked in even if I left the windows open. I am not sure if this was a temporary thing somehow related to a leak that the owner mentioned. The apartment was very quiet except for one day (Passover day) where there was a BBQ next door. It was an okay place but I likely would not stay here again.
This was a lovely apartment in a fantastic location! We were in Jerusalem for the marathon and some sightseeing. It is the *perfect* place to stay for the marathon - walking distance from the expo, start, finish, and post run brunch!
Omer and Nirit were great hosts, and very helpful as well. The house itself is well located and close to the Mahane Yehuda market.
Very nice cozy and clean apartment in the great location in the center of the city. Very nice hosts, flexible and helpful. We enjoyed staying there
L'appartement est simple, très agréable malgré le bruit parfois.
Il est bien situe, près du marché et du tram pour le centre ville.
Omer est un hôte attentionné, nous avons passé de trés bons moments chez lui!
Merci beaucoup pour l'accueil...
Omer met us at the apartment when we arrived and helpfully showed us around. The location is fantastic and we enjoyed our stay. Although the accommodation is fairly basic it suited us perfectly and would consider staying again if we returned to Jerusalem. Many thanks Omer!
We have a lovely time. The flat is in a great area and was very nice. Our host were very laid back and helpful xxxxx
The apartment is in an excellent location, just ten minutes away from the Mahane Yehuda market and not much more to the Mahane Yehuda stop on the train that runs through the city. It is also very close to Gan (email hidden) belt for walking, jogging, etc. The apartment is spacious for one or two, and the furnishings (bed, chairs, sofas) very comfortable. Although I was a bit worried about the noise when I first got there, as it's not far from a busy intersection, it was quiet at night and even during the day, closing the heavy blinds cuts out most of the noise. The owners gave very clear instructions, e.g. for lighting the hot water heater. Highly recommended.
I am joining other guests praising this apartment and the owners.
Very strategically convenient location: center, bus station and market in 10-15 min.from the apartment. Quiet.
And Great Jerusalem at your feet.
Thank you, Omer and Nirit.
