Had a great experience in Siobhans apartment. It was a beautiful apartment which was the perfect base for exploring Brooklyn and the city. There's a bus stop right outside and a subway just down the street. It also has a nice view of the Empire State building! Siobhan was a fabulous host with good communication, not in town at the time but we were well looked even when our flights were changed at the last minute. We met her briefly on the day we left and she was really lovely and very accommodating! The only negative was the climb up the stairs! Would highly recommend.
Siobann was out of the city, but a friend of her was there to welcome us and gave us tips on where to go. She was very friendly.
The neighbourgh is beautiful and full of coffe stores and stores all around. There was a bus stop right outside.
Siobhan's apartment was the perfect base for our trip to NYC & Brooklyn. The apartment was clean, tidy and exactly as described - the record player was a welcome addition, as was the stunning view of Manhattan (and The Empire State Building included) from the window.
Siobhan's friend was there to welcome us and show us around and gave us tips on where to get a drink when we arrived. It was conveniently located just a couple of blocks walk (less than 5 minutes) to the Metro station which was a 20 minute ride into Manhattan. Thanks for being a great host Siobhan!
We spent 10 days at this apartment in August/Sept 2015 and cannot fault any aspect. Siobhan was helpful beforehand and very welcoming on arrival. The flat was spacious, comfortable and clean. The location was fantastic and a stones throw from both the ferry and the underground. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this flat. I totally resented climbing 3 flights of stairs every day although now i have super toned calves ... Bonus!
We stayed at Siobhan's apartment for 12 nights in December 2013. It war pretty great. It is conveniently located in Greenpoint just a couple of blocks (3 minutes walking) from the Greenpoint Ave. G subway line station. It takes about 30-40 minutes to get to Manhattan from the apartment. The place is very nicely decorated and we loved the vinyl collection, unforgettable climate! We had the apartment for ourselves, we only met Siobhan on the first day. She was a perfect host, very helpful and flexible. Prior to our arrival and during the stay we had a perfect communication with her. There is only one area that could be improved - the place could be cleaner, apart from that everything was fine.
Our experience at Siobhan's was great.
The apartment is tiny but clean and tidy and in a Great Location too.
Lots of coffee shops and restaurants around the area.
The underground's stop just few minutes away.
The next door's Dogs are a little bit noisy but a part from that we didn't have any problem at all and our stay has been great.
The location was great and the apartment had everything we needed (and more). If you're a light sleeper it might be a bit too loud for you. Siobhan responded quickly when we had any questions, which made planning very easy.
On a personal level, it would be nice if she were a bit more welcoming.
Siobhan's apartment was simply amazing! I rented it with my boyfriend for a period of 8 days. It was clean, it was bright, filled with light, and it felt very homey. We also loved that it was close to buses and the subway - indeed to get to Manhattan, one only needs to take a bus or walk the Pulaski Bridge to reach subway line 7, a very direct route. We definitely recommend, an ideal home for travellers. No complaints whatsoever!
I have just returned from a week staying in Siobhan's wonderful apartment which was fantastic! Just a short walk from the subway and the east river ferry it has easy access into Manhattan. I travelled as a lone female and found the area perfectly safe to explore (especially by day, I can't comment on the night as was too exhausted from all the walking)! The apartment had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. Siobhan was very flexible about check in/out times, and easily contactable during my stay. I was fortunate enough to have fantastic weather during my stay, and enjoyed the short walk to McCarren Park where I spent a very entertaining sunny Sunday watching the neighborhood bars play softball! Despite the apartment being on the main street, there was little noise to disturb at night, and I'm a light sleeper! I would definitely recommend Siobhan's apartment to both singles and couples! Thanks Siobhan :)
