We had a great time at the house over New Years week - the interior is beautiful and charming, very tastefully decorated. We didn't spend much time outdoors but it is expansive and transporting - especially for city folks. Gregory was a pleasure to work with, extremely responsive and helpful. We'll be back for sure.
My family stayed in Gregory and Nina's lovely home in Washinton, CT over the Christmas holiday. The home itself is beautiful and clean and the grounds are equally spectacular - brought back many found memories from our time spent living in the UK. The hosts were quick to respond to any inquiries throughout our entire stay as well. The home came equipped with everything we could have ever needed for cooking, entertaining and relaxing. The warmth of the home, the surrounding country, the village, and last but not least the GW Tavern are some of the many reasons we will hopefully find ourselves back in Washington in the future! Many thanks to Greg and Nina!
Greg and Nina were wonderful hosts! My husband and I rented their home to be closer to our wedding venue and to have a place where our families could stay. The property and home are spectacular. It's beautifully decorated and it's high end lush furnishes are cozy and luxurious. It's a fantastic country getaway!

Some friends and I had the great pleasure of ringing in the New Year at this beautiful home, which is even more lovely and cozy than the pictures suggest. We took great advantage of the two fireplaces, the well-equipped kitchen, and the seemingly never-ending supply of wine glasses. The owners were wonderful hosts, quick to answer our questions and thorough in the guidelines and notes they provided before the trip. Yes, there are a few quirks that you need to contend with--which are all detailed in the information the owners sent us--but nothing that gets in the way of pure relaxation and enjoyment.
Be prepared to fight for the master bedroom. And you'll probably want to do your grocery shopping at one of the big supermarkets on the way to the house.
A group of us (4 married couples and one baby) stayed at Gregory's house for a weekend in July. The house and grounds were perfect. We could tell that they have put a lot of time and attention into the house and the surrounding property, which made our stay very pleasant. We felt very well taken care of. House is perfect for a group of our size. Lots of land to run around on, and the area has some walking/hiking trails nearby. Gregory provided us with lots of helpful information about the house and things to do nearby. Fantastic kitchen, dining room, living room and den-- perfect for unwinding. All bedrooms are well-appointed and comfortable. Pool was a big hit with our group as well. Easy access from New York City. Would absolutely come back.
Great House and Excellent Hosts
Nina was there when you needed her
Cute Town, and close to wineries and Farms
Had a great time in the pool
Great property , nicely landscaped.
We had a wonderful stay at the Maniatis' home. Everything was exactly as advertised and any issues that arose were quickly resolved. It's a beautiful, relaxing location and the home and pool are unique. We highly recommend this as a place to relax and reconnect with nature.
This is one if one of the best house we ever found! We were 3 couples with 4 toddlers staying for a short week-end. There was plenty of room for everyone.
The house is beautifully decorated, with a rustic but sophisticated touch. Bedrooms are spacious, with very comfortable bedding and bathrooms are net.
We had a beautiful weather and the house offered so much that we stayed there all day: kids could run around in the expansive garden, have fun in the pool and visit frogs in the pond.
We enjoyed the barbecue and large kitchen for cooking meals.
I already recommended the house to many friends and will definitely go back!
My family and I visited Gregory and Nina's beautiful Connecticut home last weekend and had an amazing time. There were 8 of us (6 adults and 2 children), and we stayed 3 nights. There was more than enough room for everyone (and even a room to spare!). The house is very well-kept, cozy, and beautifully decorated. There are 3 full bathrooms, and the hot water heater withstood 8 showers each day!
Nina and Gregory were so helpful during the weeks leading up to the trip; Nina gave us lots of great advice on what to do with kids in the area (snow tubing!). We had a nice time eating at the places that our hosts recommended and stopping by the little towns and shops included in the guide to the area. We visited during the winter, so weren't able to utilize the pool/hot tub (although I imagine it would be really great!), but that did mean that we got plenty of fireplace time. The kids had fun exploring the property, walking on the trails, collecting kindling, and playing frisbee. We utilized the large kitchen to make many yummy meals, and easily fit all 8 of us around the dining room table. We could not have asked for a better house to stay in or better hosts to guide us around the area!
