Overall a great experience. Beautiful Victorian home in a nice location. I liked being able to walk to Alamo Square( though it's sadly torn up for renovation right now ). As far as the house, beds were comfortable and kitchen was nice and the patio was beautiful! As others have said Internet was very frustrating and service spotty. A few minor housekeeping issues, but I still enjoyed my stay and would recommend it. I did not get to meet the primary owner but his partner was very nice. Appreciated the bottle of wine and welcome card - thanks!
what a beautiful Appartement, better than my house at home. very victorian, we had a great time and the host is a really nice guy!
Fantastic location in a truly authentic SF home. First class hosts who deliver a true Airbnb experience.
Joakim is an excellent host and his home was perfect for our trip. Joakim met us at the front door and gave us a tour of the home. The home is a historical type home in Hayes district and the furnishings are also excellent. 3 bedroom plus 2.5 baths. Excellent patio/garden. We were three business men in town for a conference and wanted to stay in a neighborhood vs a corporate hotel. Hayes Street has many excellent restaurants and shops. We made the right decision. I give Joakim and his home the highest ranking.
Awesome 2nd stay at the Victorian house on Hayes. Everything was perfect and we had an excellent stay.
The flat was perfectly located, and was a real beauty - the "San Francisco"'s archetype house.
I was there with 2 other colleagues for a work-related stay in SF. For such a long stay, this is for me a LOT better than hotel. Sometimes just staying "home" after a long day at work is the right thing to do.
We were warmly welcomed with a bottle of wine that was indeed useful after a hard day at the office (we actually required more than one over our 2-weeks stay, but that was not a problem, plenty of small groceries around).
The flat was clean, comfortable. Heating floor in the bathroom in the back a real bonus. Hayes street is quiet (perhaps except during Bay the breakers day, but that can be hardly a problem, as I suspect a lot of potential guests actually would enjoy witness the "action").
The back garden is terrific - My only regret is that I didn't had much time to appreciate it.
If I have something to mention, is that the dish was not top-clean. We had to re-wash some plates/glasses before use. Perhaps the guests before us were a bit sloppy on that? I consider this a really minor issue.
Would definitely consider going back to this flat
Joakim is great host a great host and directly made us feel at home.
He gave us a warm welcome and showed us everything that we needed to know.
The place had everything we needed plus more. We had a very comfortable and relaxing stay. The place looks great!
The house itself is situated in a neighborhood with lots of cafe's, restaurants and shops. Hayes valley is also strategically situated so that you easily can reach downtown, the Mission, Haight Ashbury, Pacific Heights etc.
In short: Highly recommended!
We had a wonderful time. The hosts made us feel very, very welcome, and were communicative and lovely. We would definitely look to go back there again. The place is beautiful, very tastefully furnished, and well located. Great experience and thoroughly recommended.
Joakim was a gracious host and the apartment was lovely. The kitchen was fully equipped, so we were able to cook Thanksgiving dinner. We walked to restaurants and coffee shops in Hayes Valley, and two people in our party stayed just four blocks away at the Hayes Valley Inn(URL HIDDEN)that takes dogs.
Jamie was a very pleasant guest I really enjoyed talking to him about all the things he has going on. Excellent guest Best of luck in all your endeavors
It was an absolute pleasure hosting Joakim. Unfortunately I didn't get to meet him but he was very easy to communicate, was respectful of the apartment and building rules and provided great feedback regarding the apartment. I would happily welcome him back!
Jamie was a perfect guest! Good communications, polite, conscientious, clean, supremely personable. I'm really quite disappointed I did not have the pleasure of meeting him in person. I would welcome him anytime and hopefully next time I would be able to share a glass of wine or a stroll around Town Lake!
