The best thing about this apartment is that it is really close to the Oktoberfest grounds. Other than that, the place is fine but I wouldn't call it any more than that. The floors were dusty, the kitchen smelt strongly of spices. But it was ok. Nice little balcony with good view.
It is hard to find, as mentioned by others. We should have read other reviews more carefully as others have mentioned it is on the 6th floor in their reviews. We actually found ourselves the the storage area first, then found our way into the main building. After walking along the length of a couple of floors with our heavy bags I eventually left my partner with the bags on the second floor then walked along each floor until I found it on the 6th floor.
Ali has pay TV which was good for my partner who wanted to watch a particular football (soccer) match.
We never met Ali. The internet password wasn't immediately obvious to us so I texted him and he got back very quickly, which was great. But certainly not as personal as other hosts I've had. I would recommend it highly if you are going to Oktoberfest, purely for the location, but otherwise maybe stay somewhere else.
Perfect for oktoberfest! Amazing view, comfy bed!
Place is in an amazing location for Oktoberfest if you're visiting. Views of the festival, 2 minute walk to the front entrance. Just ideal.
Apartment is not easy to find at all. You have to go into the weird lit and spray painted tunnel then enter a glass box area to take a lift to the 6th floor. The apartment number I never received and was hard to find until I recognised the owner last name. Apartment 117 i think.
Place is not quite as nice as the photos. A vine grows from the wall along the ceiling and drapes down. The blinds/curtains are ripped and the ranch slider door does not have a curtain at all so if you want to rest in the morning it is difficult.
The apartment was clean and comfortable enough for a short stay. Got told the night before checkout that cleaners were coming at 10am when check out was 11am so was not impressed with that at all.
This listing is in a great location for Octoberfest and has a lovely view. Sleeping was comfortable.
Flat clean and comfortable. The area is really well connected and central: really close to U-bahn station. The host was really friendly and helpful.
Hard to locate. Near XXXlutz store. On the 6th floor. host could have provided more landmarks. Never met him. Not the easiest to coordinate prior to checking in. Beautiful place. Kinda far from marienplatz. Perfect for octoberfest.
Great studio apartment that was extremely convenient to the Oktoberfest grounds and yet relatively sound proof. Super hard to find at first and the directions aren't great (nearer the Hacker Pschorr restaurant than the Toys R Us store with the entrance hidden in the covered area between) but clean and comfortable.
Ali's place was PERFECT for Oktoberfest. We were less than 2 minutes from the front gate and had an incredible view of the whole city and Oktoberfest! Even our Munich friends said it was an incredible place to stay! I would definitely stay here again!!

Ali's apartment was perfect. It's about 20 minute walk from the city center and very close to the train station (where taxi's also sit in case you want to get somewhere fast). After a day out walking around, it was nice to come back to a quiet and tranquil environment. Finding the apartment and getting the key were a breeze, and even more so as we arrived a little early while it was being cleaned and we were able to drop off our luggage. As others have said, the view from the balcony is superb. You can look back onto the city you just conquered, and it's literally across the street from the Oktoberfest grounds. You can't beat staying in a place like this one.
