Christophe and Gaby are awesome hosts. They made me feel at home and they had everything prepared for my short stay. They are of good advise with regards to Dublin's nightlife. Definitely the perfect place for a trip to Dublin!
Great location, very comfortable and charming appartment. Gaby was very friendly and a great host. You can choose this appartment, you'll love it !
I really enjoyed my stay at Christophe and Gaby's house. They are the perfect hosts and are super friendly. The house was great. The room was very nice, spacious, clean and quit. I highly recommend this place!
Christophe was a great host. Even though we were delayed he waited for our arrival and then came to our rescue when we got lost finding our way. ( It really was quite an easy walk from
the airport bus but we managed to get turned around. Sorry Christophe). The room was clean and well prepared with maps. We had privacy but also we're welcomed both days with a cheery smile. Great spot to discover Dublin.
We very much enjoyed our stay with Christophe. He was quite helpful in meeting us in the morning after a long flight. The house was clean, quiet, and in a safe neighborhood which is very convenient to St Stephens Green and the heart of Dublin. It also has free off street parking. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. Christophe could not have been more pleasant. We had a nice modern private bathroom and a bedroom that was well ventilated and comfortable.
While Christophe and Gaby were both out of town when we arrived, they insured that their good friend Till was there to welcome us, answer questions and make sure we were comfortable. Chris stayed in communication with us in anticipation of our arrival and ensured all went well even though he was away. Their home is just as pictured, charming, artistic and comfortable. We were alone for several days until Gaby returned home. She was a kind and very accommodating hostess, sweet, generous and helpful.
The location was superb! We found it close enough to the heart of Dublin (7 minute walk to Stephen's Green past Georgian row houses with those colorful doors!) The lovely neighborhood had several delightful and delicious restaurants near by, again a welcome break from tourist focused pubs. The canal walk was beautiful too. And everything was either a close walk, a short cab ride or a convenient bus ride away. The bus line to and from the airport drops and picks up just up the street.
We prefer to stay a little outside the usual touristy areas to get a feel for what daily life is like in the places we visit. This location was perfect for that. The room was spacious and comfortable, and while we were on our own for breakfast, we shopped for breakfast items in a local store and were able to use the kitchen to meet our breakfast needs.
Thank you Gaby and Chris for the lovely hospitality.
Christophe and Gaby were great hosts. We really enjoyed staying at their house. They gave us perfect hints for a pub to watch the Worldcup games and for other locations in Dublin. They were very respectful with our privacy. Most of the time we had the house for ourselves. It was a great stay in Dublin. Thank you both. We really recommend you to all.
The lovely apartment was in a perfect location for us in Dublin, since my wife was attending a conference at a hotel only a few blocks away. This is a superb location for walking access to central Dublin and is in a great neighborhood with good bus access to the airport. Gaby was out of town, but Christophe was a gracious and helpful host. The bedroom and bath were up to date, spacious, clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and we had free use of it. There was great weather, so we were able to use the patio garden.
This is the second time I have stayed at Christophe and Gaby's place, and I loved it just as much as the first. They left plenty of maps and tourist information about Dublin in the room, and though they were away most of the time, they replied quickly to a couple of e-mails I sent and were extremely helpful. A great find!
Christophe and Gaby have an exceptionally comfortable home in a neighborhood that is close enough to major tourist attractions while giving you a taste of real life in Dublin thanks to cosy neighborhood pubs like O'Brien's just off Leeson Street. I didn't meet Gaby as she was away, but Christophe was a friendly and laid-back host. The bedroom is huge and well-heated when it's cold outside, and the accompanying bathroom is also spacious and well-equipped. I felt free to use the kitchen, though I only had breakfast there as there were so many restaurants to try along Camden Street, about a 15-minute walk away. I'm looking forward to staying with Christophe and Gaby again on my next trip.
Christophe and his girlfriend were the perfect guests. The left the apartment just as they found it - spic and span. Christophe was also very easy to communicate with throughout the check-in/check-out process. We highly recommend them as guests.
Gaby and Chris will be the perfect hosts for your stay. While they are friendly and inviting enough to offer you plans and things to do in Dublin, they are also respectful and will give you the freedom you want.
Their house is a beautiful one. It is a typical Irish house (2 floors) but fully refurbished and new with a warm chimney and heating. It is very cozy and spacious and its walking distance from anywhere in town.
I really recommend you stay with them if you get the chance!
Gaby & Christophe are the best people you'll meet in Dublin. They are helpful, fun to hang out with, and they'll make your stay at their place easy and convenient. Their home is spacious for Dublin standards and it has been refurbished when they moved in at the end of 2013. It is a beautiful gaff right in the centre of Dublin between the Canal and the Liffey and pretty much anything you'd like to do in town is within walking distance from the place. Don't hesitate if you get the chance to stay with them.
