Very nice and indeed comfy apartment in the Friedrichshain district. We found this was an excellent base for exploring Berlin, two S/U-Bahn stops were within 5 minutes and an excellent supermarket was practically across the road. Museuminsel, Alexanderplatz, Kreuzberg and Prenzlauer Berg were all within easy reach. The apartment itself was clean and tidy, plnety of linens and pillows, and the kitchen had everything needed to make supper. The area itself was pretty quiet and felt safe. Swantje herself was very friendly and kindly gave us some suggestions on nice places to take our baby girl which was much appreciated. Would be happy to recommend to anyone!
Great place in Berlin. Host was awesome and lrg. 2 bedroom clean apt. Was perfect. Thank you.
Great place to stay in Berlin, pretty much everything you need (from clubs & restaurants to supermarkets & public transport) is just a short walk away and Swantje's a very caring host. Definitely will be back! : )
The apartment was lovely. Our host was extremely accommodating; especially when I messed up our arrival time!!! Certainly like to be back soon.
The place was fantastic
We were 2 friends each had his own sep room and there was plenty of space
There's lots of charm about the apartment as well
The location was very good - 3 minute walk to the very busy and rapid ostbanhof but no noise from there at all
Kreuzberg and central fridrichshein are walking distance as well
Plus it was cool to feel that u live in a building that was once spectated by the shtazi
All in all highly recommended
Swantje was very friendly even we got to the apartment late in the evening ;)
the flat was even better than at the pics! everything super, clean and pretty stylish!
had a hard business weekend and i am sure that's an ideal apartment to stay and relax after work.
i recommend it to everyone!
The flat was lovely - great location and excellently furnished. Swantje was a brilliant host with great communication ahead of our stay. Would definitely stay here again.
It is a really confortable place, with excellent views, very well decorated and furnished as well as located, and Swantje is also very committed to ensure that her guests does not miss anything at the apartment.
100% sure that next visit to Berlin we will be renting again Comfy Place!!
We had an excelent stay at Swantje's place in the beginning of November (2012). The apartment is very close to both S-Bahn and U-Bahn stations, supermarkets, pharmacies and some snack bars and fastfoods (all of them within a 5 minutes walk). The neighborhood is also very quiet and safe. The apartment is well-equiped, very nicely decorated and spacious - we were 2 people but we believe that there is enough room for 4 people without drawbacks! Swantje was also very kind and helpful. We will definetely recommend it to our friends and family. Thank you!
Swantje was an unbelievable host. Her place has all the amenities you would need and it's just as spacious as the pictures depict. Although her place does not have a dryer, there is a rack to dry your clothes within a day. Her apartment is very well insulated, so even though it was cold outside I never had to turn on the heat. The location is conveniently located very close to the local super market and the train station is one of the bigger ones where you can buy a train/bus ticket and lots of choices for cuisine, including Thai, dunkin donuts, Italilan, Mediterranean, German, Mc Donalds, etc. They also have a souvenir shop and a gift shop for chocolates, which is exactly what I needed for coworkers. The tenants in the building are also really nice. Also, don't be fooled by the covers on her dvd collection. Some are in German, but when you play it the language is in English (not all though). Her WIFI is also very stable so I never had issues with internet connection.
One tip to unlock the front door of the building...turn 90 degrees to the right. And to unlock the door to the flat, turn 90 degrees to the left. It took me a bit to figure this out as I kept turning the key a couple of revolutions when I didn't have to.
I was pretty good about making sure I took the key with me whenever I left the flat, but on my very last night I forgot it and ended up taking a cab to Swantje's temporary place and she came by in the morning (the day I was leaving) to pick up the key even though she had a morning class. She was a total lifesaver!
They are a beautiful couple with a nice baby girl of 10 months that immediately fell in love with a wooden rocking horse that was my little girl.
Unfortunately they found a week of rain but hopefully they still enjoyed the place.
We wait you for next year, maybe in June or July when there is a lovely temperature and should not rain!
Thank you because you were very polite and respectful of our home.
