Christophe was very helpful and his place was ideally located near Marienplatz, so easy to get around. The room was nice and bed comfortable. The apartment was quite neat in size and so its hard not to disturb people when talking. There is only one bathroom so you have to wait your turn which is fine if your not in a hurry.
Staying with Christoph and Oliver was a great experience for us. My girlfriend and I went to Munich in early December to explore the city and the Christkindlmartks. There was a market just down the street from this apartment and then the Munich town center just beyond that-- almost entirely Fussgangerzone (Pedestrian zone)-- and all the wonders it beholds. All of Munich's big sights were in walking distance of their flat.
A few things to be aware of:
1. There are a few flights of stairs to carry luggage up. This wasn't a problem for us as we had at this point lugged our things across two countries and three cities, but could be something some people should know about.
2. The value of the place is excellent.
3. We were greeted and welcomed by both Christoph and Oliver. They were warm, and kind and full of advice which we appreciated.
The place was very clean, and comfortable and quite use friendly. They even offered us the use of their fancy European coffee maker-- we never braved it since we are used to our Keurig and were afraid we'd break theirs!
If you are self-motivated, low-maintenance, easy-going and have your own agenda while in Munich and really require a nice, safe, quiet place to sleep and retreat from this big, busy, city-- this is a great place for you!
Great location, nice host, cosy room...perfect!
Christoph and Oliver were great hosts for our time in Munich. Christoph even helped with finding transport options to Neuschwanstein Castle, which was very appreciated. Their apartment is in an excellent spot and is very comfortable.
L'appartamento di Christoph ed il marito è carinissimo, in un'ottima posizione a 2 passi dal centro. PULITISSIMO.
Loro sono disponibili e gentili, lo consiglio assolutamente!
Ci torneremo :)
I had an excellent stay with Christoph. The room was extremely comfortable, the apartment was clean, the shower was hot (which I love), and I was made to feel completely at home. Christoph was a friendly host who helped me out on my first visit to Munich and even provided some maps and a small city guide book. If you're looking for a place to stay, I'm not sure you can beat this place in terms of location, but it was also the perfect place to return "home" to each night.
Munich is vibrant and fairy-like at the same time. Impressive history and impressive amount of beer. Christoph's place right in the centre is a good place to start exploring, although clearly visiting it gives you an impression of having a home. Do buy a three day card for public transport!
Christoph was a friendly host who made us feel at home. Check-in was very smooth, communication easy, and the room was clean and everything we needed. More importantly, the location of Christoph's house is amazing - 5 minutes from the market and Marienplatz by foot.
Our stay in Christoph's apartment was everything we were hoping for - excellent location, lovely room and with a helpful host. Although we were out everyday, our conversations with Christoph were informative and overall we were delighted with the location and the freedom we were given in this shared flat. I would definitely recommend this flat for holidaymakers travelling to Munich.
