Francesco and his apartment was amazing. My husband and I had the most amazing time in Salerno. It is the perfect place to discover the Amalfi Coast. The apartment was fully equipped with everything you need. Also, the photos do not do the place justice! It was spotless and beautiful, I was not expecting how awesome it was. Francesco was super helpful too and full of knowledge. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
This gem of an apartment in Salerno is in a great location, a 10 minute walk from the train station on a bustling street, and 5 minutes from the water which is great for morning runs.
Francesco was an incredible host, greeting my wife and I with a little basket of treats as it was our honeymoon. He took care of everything, and went the extra mile in answering our texts about the wifi (which comes in best when the router is elevated near the window).
The apartment has everything you need with a stocked kitchen, a washer (with window-side clothesline), and a comfortable sofa-bed with plenty of blankets.
Francesco's apartment is in a great location, close to shopping, cafes, great restaurants, and the transport hubs. The apartment has everything you need to self cater and the washing machine is a plus. Francesco met us on time and was very helpful in pointing out the highlights of Salerno and beyond.
...thanks for the wine again
We had a brilliant time in Salerno and Francesco's flat was a great base in which to discover the beautiful towns on the Amalfi Coast.
First of all, the flat is great for 2 people (ideal for a couple). It's very well arranged with plenty of storage, good furniture and everything you possibly. Washing machine, air con, cooker and shower all worked as expected. WiFi being a bonus and especially useful for planning day trips to the Amalfi coast.
The only downside of the flat would be a lack of natural light but that wasnt a problem for us as we were out early in the morning and back late at night.
The flat is located right in the centre of the historical part of Salerno, which is where we spent a lot of our time and with so much in walking distance; shops, restaurants, bars, etc. So the location of the flat was very convenient!
Francesco was a very good host, he meet us on arrival and explained everything we needed to know. He had a very useful booklet about the utilities in the flat and even recommended some great places to eat and drink.
It's worth highlighting that we were pleasantly surprised by the town of Salerno; it's very lively and practically tourist-free which makes a change from Positano and Amalfi (although both are extremely beautiful). We weren't originally planning to spend too much time in the city but we did. We found the people of Salerno very friendly and the place has a lot of tradition and history.
Overall, our holiday was stress-free, everything went very smoothly with the flat and I can't wait to go back!
And would happily stay in the flat again.
Ottimo alloggio per chi vuole trascorrere una vacanza a Salerno.Buona posizione, in centro e a poca distanza dalla fermata degli autobus per la costiera. Un saluto a Francesco, molto gentile e disponibile.
The apartment was as described -well equipped and comfortable.
Location was excellent , 2 minutes to the promenade, in a medium sized piazza and a ten minute walk to the (email hidden)ancesco's nephew met us at the apartment and explained everything thoroughly for us.
We were particularly impressed that there was a wealth of information , about ferries along the Amalfi Coast,
the Pompeii and Herculaneum sites, as well as Paestum. Maps brochures in abundance, which saved us a lot of time.
We had a wonderful time in Salerno at Francesco’s place. The flat was small but cozy, clean, comfortable and perfectly located in the Historic District. We thoroughly enjoyed the cultural experience from the many traditional style restaurants to the ebb and flow of local life in this provincial city. Salerno is treasure trove of cathedrals, museums, ancient artifacts and in general, a place with great energy and vibe. Also, a good base to explore the Amalfi Coast, Pompeii, Naples, etc. Although a bit pricy if considering the train to Pompeii through Naples, good news is, if you are price conscious there are other ways to get there. Both the train/bus station is within a 10 minute walk from Francesco’s place or a 15 minutes’ walk to the tourist port where you can find the ferries.
Francesco was accommodating and quick to respond when needed. He kept his flat stocked with tourist information and there is a City Tourist Center right around the corner, 5 minute walk that can help you plan your stops. While there grab a small book called Salerno Routes. We stayed there 7 days and would have like to stay longer!
This is a great apartment right in the heart of Salerno. The apartment has all of the amenities you need for you to feel at home. We loved the location as it was central to the train station, Castello di Arechi and ferry to Positano.
Francesco is a wonderful host and gave us a very handy map for us to get around Salerno and find restaurants and grocery stores. We would highly recommend this airbnb to any travellers passing through Salerno. A very beautiful town!
Thank you Francesco :)

Francesco ed i suoi colleghi sono state persone molte carine, disponibile, educate e precise. Sicuramente sono i ben venuti ogni volta che avranno bisogno di venire a Firenze.
I haven't met Francesco in person, but he left the flat in perfect condition.
