Laid back, family man who loves to surf, fish and play the harmonica
Fantastic Cabin! It was clean, cosy and private. Perfect for a getaway weekend. Paul has done a great job with the space. Small kitchen but will do the job of cooking breakfast and making lunch.
Short walk from Copa beach, if you don't mind walking up a big hill on the way back.
Overall we had a great stay and would definitely come back :)
Thank you Paul for a great weekend away! We would recommend the cabin to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway. The cabin is just a 5 minute walk to the gorgeous copacabana beach. Much care has gone into the cabin itself - the rustic interior is terrific and the attention to detail (high quality bed linen and towels, toothbrushes and slippers) will make you feel right at home. The bed is comfy and we woke up to birdsong in the morning. There is only a basic kitchen which was fine for us, but would not suit if you were planning to do a lot of cooking.
Copa Cabin was wonderful. In a great location, nice walk to the shops and beach. The bed was super comfy and we loved the decor and layout. It rained most if the time, however we could hang out in the undercover patio in the hammock which looked out over the beautiful garden. Would definitely recommend this place and we would love to go back.
Beautiful cabin. Couldn't fault it if I tried. And lovely getting to know Paul and his family! Couldn't have asker for a better place for a relaxing getaway! Thanks Paul! :)
We had a great time at the Copa Cabin: we slept very well (the bed is really comfy), got plenty of advice from Paul and his wife about the surroundings and enjoyed the hammock in the hot afternoon. We will probably be back soon for another relaxing weekend.
The cabin is very comfortable with modern fittings and furnishings. Great location for beach, lagoon, and relaxing.
The place was exactly they way it was advertised. My stay was trouble free and just fantastic. I can absolutely recommend this place with zero hesitation.
Thanks Paul for an excellent weekend getaway to a beautiful part of the Central Coast!
More like a 1 bedroom self-contained house than a "cabin" Paul's place was modern, warm and with lovely finishes - particularly like all the natural wood used in the place and the cute garden.
Paul provides a few herbs and two fresh eggs from their chooks on arrival, and the kitchen, though small (think hotplates rather than a stove) was well equipped with spices, teas, olive oil and utensils. Managed to cook up a full meal no problems! No kitchen sink but the "camp sink" worked fine.
The bed here is amazingly comfortable and the sheets and bathtowels, toiletries, even bedroom slippers, were all first rate! The place gets plenty of light and the bathroom is beautifully appointed, which makes a big difference.
Location wise, this was also really handy. We were lazy so we drove 2 mins to the beach instead of walking, but also very convenient to the other pretty beachside towns like Avoca and Killcare.
Paul provides pretty much everything you need including DVDs and books, an iPod docking stereo, and even additional cooking equipment when we needed it.
Thanks for a great stay Paul! And for extending our checkout at our last minute request - we needed the sleep in!
(Written by Angus, my husband) My wife and I arrived in copacabana as what was described as 'the largest storm the year' hit the coast. It made for an impressive show of sea and spray, sand and rocks.
The cottage is nestled back a few hundred meters in the first of the thickly vegetated hilly terrain. I was surprised at how quickly you get away from the rat race here.
A good portion of the afternoon was spent snuggled up in a comfortable queen size bed reading books.
It's obvious that attention and care has been poured into 'copa cabin' A meticulously finished modern outlay furnished with tasteful rustic interior that flows out into an attractive and friendly rear courtyard whispering to you to be at peace.
The kitchen is not really a kitchen but a space efficient facility for basic cooking needs in one corner of the living room.
The rain had stopped sunday morning and I woke to stillness and bell birds singing.
Paul's cabin was nice and cosy and a perfect getaway for two. The bathroom was clean and modern, the kitchen had all the basic functions and most utensils and bowls were provided. Sheets were clean and comfy and the sheriden towels were worth the little extra we paid. Paul was also nice enough to lend us 2 surfboards! Thanks Paul.
