I grew up in Amarillo and moved to Austin in 1990 to begin practicing law. I enjoy time at Lady Bird Lake and experiencing Austin's wonderful, local restaurants/cuisine.

This was my second stay at the Treetop Guesthouse, and once again it did not disappoint. The bed was very comfortable, the coffee was good, plenty of drinks in the fridge, and a wonderful host. I was able to meet Susan this time. Susan was able to point my wife and I to some good local spots. Will definitely stay here again on my next trip to Austin!
This was the perfect first airbnb experience. The place was amazing. Everything was top of the line, and suited us so well, it felt like Susan must know us. Very comfortable, spacious, and convenient. I hope to make this my home-away-from-home whenever I visit Austin.
We stayed two colleagues with Susan for SXSW during 4 nights. Everything was perfect and so comfortable. After being picked up in the airport, we arrived at the great guesthouse that beats any hotel suite in town. Filled fridge with juice, water and local brew, coffee machines on both floors and even fresh muffins. Susan was a great host and the house was absolutely spotless. We loved staying there. We walked downtown a couple of days, or took the walk to South Congress and grabbed breakfast and then a couple of city bikes to go down town. If i'm going back to SXSW, Susans place is on the very top of my list. Emil
Susan and Diane were fantastic hosts. They really went above and beyond-- we arrived late on New Years Eve to Austin and Diane was kind enough to offer us a ride in order to make our dinner reservation on time and avoid tricky parking in Downtown Austin!
The place is so clean and homey and has everything you could possible need. Snacks and drinks in the fridge, great shower, toiletries, TVs, comfortable beds. Walking distance to lots of great stuff. Quiet safe neighborhood. Really highly recommend it!
We loved our stay at Susan's. The location is centrally located and within walking distance of great restaurants, food truck parks & shops. We could not have asked for a better place or host. Susan was so thoughtful and with the smallest of details...suggestions for restaurants, landmarks, anything! Our next visit and stay will be at Treetop.
The Treetop Guest House is luxurious. The beds are super comfortable, the decor is lovely, and it is spacious. When we wanted to do things together there were these great sitting areas upstairs and downstairs, as well as on the upper deck....felt like we were sitting up in the trees with the birds. Then when we were needing space, it is designed to feel like two separate apartments, one upstairs and one downstairs. It is great to have that luxury...and having the mini kitchens both upstairs and downstairs gave us a chance to have coffee on our own in the morning. I really appreciated that. The entire place is light and feels clean, no clutter...just comforts. TV upstairs and downstairs was nice, and super easy way that they did private entry code and wifi code. The place was full of little gifts...both mini fridges had nice surprises, candy on the bed tables and the toiletry items were so nice that we went on amazon and ordered some for ourselves before we left. The neighborhood is beautiful, super close to all that we wanted to do at zilker park, and downtown...everything minutes away. We even got good movie tips from Susan and Diane. Next time we come we plan to reserve tennis courts at the South Austin tennis club, that is so close it makes sense to walk rather than drive. The house was so pretty, the pictures just couldn't capture it on the website.... and the pictures were the reason we picked it. Plan to go back soona and stay in the Treetop.
Susan was easy to communicate with, friendly and accommodating. Absolutely no complaints. The guest-house is a quiet, spacious place to stay. Very relaxing and centrally located too. Top marks!
Susan's guesthouse was great. She was extremely accommodating and communicative, the place was very clean and quite spacious, the location was great, and the beer, water, coffee and treats Susan left in the guesthouse were a nice touch. I recommend staying here to anyone looking for a nice, quiet place to stay that is still close to South Congress and lots of restaurants, coffee shops, and stores.
Susan is a wonderful host. The Treetop is beautifully furnished and oh so comfy, and the location is excellent! Susan had great suggestions and even looked up information for us. We spent some time just chatting with her. We will definitely return!
Susan's guesthouse proved to be the perfect spot for our too-short stay in Austin – even better than expected, in fact! The two-story addition to her home is lovely, clean, comfortable and totally inviting (loved unwinding on the little balcony). The location is great, esp if you have a car – an easy drive from downtown and close to SoCo, Barton Springs and tons of great restaurants. My husband and I stayed for five days in late October and couldn't recommend Susan's place more highly.
What a privilege it was to host Susan and her sister Meg. Susan has her own Airbnb in Austin and it is prevalent in how she presented herself. They were tidy, quiet and very respectful. They felt like old friends. I really enjoyed chatting with them and hope to see both of them back sometime. I highly recommend them and will definitely stay at Susan's Airbnb on my next trip to Austin.
I really enjoyed Susan's short but sweet visit. She was professional and engaging. In town to visit family, she was curious about Airbnb and opted to stay at my place over a hotel. She is also interested in opening up her space in Austin TX for guests and wanted to get a feel for how Airbnb worked. I hope her experience was as pleasant as mine was having her for a guest.
I've known Susan since our college days--nearly 30 years. We've tripped around the U.S., France and Mexico together--eating and laughing the entire way. Nowadays, my husband and I travel with Sue, who is still easy going and considerate. The Mister and I have been (and are currently!) very happy guests at Treetop Guesthouse.
Susan is relaxed, friendly and funny, yet she's also deadly serious about hospitality and providing guests with a super clean guesthouse that's comfortable and well appointed with stocked fridge, fresh flowers, potted palms, nice linens and rugs. The original artwork is cheery and fresh. You might even get a hot loaf of Susan's homemade bread if you hint around. Even the birds are well treated here, with their own bird bath and feeder in the garden. It's lovely to see the bird-life.
As for location, the guesthouse is in easy proximity to where the action is in Austin, but not too close as to be noisy. We've been riding our bike or walking to some of the great restaurants and food trailers in the neighborhood.--- Wholeheartedly, I recommend a stay here.
