I grew up in Amarillo and moved to Austin in 1990 to begin practicing law. I enjoy time at Lady Bird Lake and experiencing Austin's wonderful, local restaurants/cuisine.

I didn't want to leave! Such wonderful hosts! The treehouse patio was so relaxing!
We had a great experience. Susan was an awesome host. The unit was perfectly clean and exactly as advertised. I would highly recommend Susan and the Treetop Guesthouse!
Excellent house and an INCREDIBLE host. So easy to get in-touch with and went above & beyond in being helpful. Wonderful in every way.
Susan was an excellent host throughout the duration of the trip and even before we got there. She is super accessible - I never waited more than a couple hours for a response to an email or text! She is friendly, considerate, and very welcoming!
Now let's talk about the Treetop Guesthouse itself. It was AMAZING. We were more than thrilled when we got there and found that the pictures were accurate and even better than we had expected for an airbnb! It was clean, comfortable, and a great place for 2 twenty-something couples (there was a king bed upstairs, and a queen downstairs). I felt like I was in a lavish hotel. Susan goes above and beyond in this place - she left chocolates on the nightstands, had plenty of clean hand towels and body towels, had complimentary snacks (yogurt, water, beer, tea, granola bars) in the cabinet, had all bathroom toiletries ready for your use, and even had a basket of things you may have forgotten (deodorant, eye makeup remover, toothpaste) for free! The beds were also super comfy and there is lots of little details that make the place a wonderful vacationing spot. Big windows let the light in when the sun rises, plenty of mirrors to help you get ready, separate fridges and sinks for upstairs and downstairs, a fun spiral staircase, cool artwork, plenty of books, a cute balcony with chairs and a table outside. Austin can be cold in the wintertime but not to worry because the heating in the Treetop Guesthouse was excellent!
I would definitely recommend this place for anyone coming to visit Austin! It's a bit removed from the downtown of Austin, but you'll quickly realize that everything in Austin is only a 10-15 minute drive. Get a rental car and go exploring! Susan's is very close to the shops and restaurants on South Congress, and going out on 6th Street or Rainey Street for nightlife is about a 10 minute drive or cab ride away. A Lyft or Uber to those locations will be about $13-16 dollars.
Susan was an amazing host - she greeted us with a clean house, a stocked fridge and recommendations for local restaurants and activities. There were even mints next to the bed and extra toiletries in case we forgot a toothbrush! She was very attentive, responding to texts with dinner recommendations and checking in to make sure our stay was going well. Overall she was warm, responsive, and helpful. The house was clean, comfortable and - thanks to Susan's thoughtful touches - made our visit to Austin even better. Plus it's in a great neighborhood - nearby some of the hippest and most fun streets in Austin. You'll love staying here!
Dear Travelers, The Treetop is perfect. Susan and Diane have a feel for detail and comfort. It is beautiful to the eye, and has been set up for comfort. The beds are super comfortable, the neighborhood is quiet and lovely to walk around in the evenings. There is a great tennis club a couple of blocks away and tons or restaurants a few blocks away on Lamar. Barton Springs and Downtown Austin are close. Susan and Diane are warm, welcoming and available...it is set up so beautifully though that there is nothing to contact them for. Having visited Austin regularly, this is the best place to stay.
Susan was a wonderful host. Her place is conviently located and was very clean and comfortable. I felt right at home and would definitely stay again. Thanks so much, Susan!
House was beautiful! Host met us at the door, had rules and all questions answered on a sheet at the table. Local food was also listed. Everything was wonderful we had a great time. Thank you
Definitely coming back to rent out Susan's space in Austin. Loved the way the interiors were done. Extremely cosy, clean, great for 4 guests and close to Zilker/Barton Springs! Susan had also stocked up the fridge with snacks/goodies which came in very handy. Thanks for letting us use your wonderful space!
Great location! Beautiful place..so comfortable. Susan was helpful and the place is perfect..
What a privilege it was to host Susan and her sister Meg. Susan has her own Airbnb in Austin and it is prevalent in how she presented herself. They were tidy, quiet and very respectful. They felt like old friends. I really enjoyed chatting with them and hope to see both of them back sometime. I highly recommend them and will definitely stay at Susan's Airbnb on my next trip to Austin.
I really enjoyed Susan's short but sweet visit. She was professional and engaging. In town to visit family, she was curious about Airbnb and opted to stay at my place over a hotel. She is also interested in opening up her space in Austin TX for guests and wanted to get a feel for how Airbnb worked. I hope her experience was as pleasant as mine was having her for a guest.
I've known Susan since our college days--nearly 30 years. We've tripped around the U.S., France and Mexico together--eating and laughing the entire way. Nowadays, my husband and I travel with Sue, who is still easy going and considerate. The Mister and I have been (and are currently!) very happy guests at Treetop Guesthouse.
Susan is relaxed, friendly and funny, yet she's also deadly serious about hospitality and providing guests with a super clean guesthouse that's comfortable and well appointed with stocked fridge, fresh flowers, potted palms, nice linens and rugs. The original artwork is cheery and fresh. You might even get a hot loaf of Susan's homemade bread if you hint around. Even the birds are well treated here, with their own bird bath and feeder in the garden. It's lovely to see the bird-life.
As for location, the guesthouse is in easy proximity to where the action is in Austin, but not too close as to be noisy. We've been riding our bike or walking to some of the great restaurants and food trailers in the neighborhood.--- Wholeheartedly, I recommend a stay here.
