Our stay at Isle Haven was just what we needed for our weekend away from the city. Karen and her husband are wonderful hosts with great respect for our privacy. We had a wonderful visit. The neighborhood is very quiet. Located just on the other side of Eagle Harbor form Winslow. This is an older historic area with farmland and quaint homes nearby. Just 5 minutes from Winslow, Lynnwood Center, or Fort Ward State Park. I would highly recommend if you enjoy a peaceful home from which explore the Island.
We had a wonderful stay at Karen's house. We weren't able to find a Bed and Breakfast for a weekend trip to Brainbridge (we had wanted to go to eat at Marche) but thankfully Karen's house was available. The room we stayed in was better than any B&B we'ved stayed in and Karen had a lovely house with all the charm of an old house but completely built from scratch. Karen's house also wasn't far (about a 5 minute drive) from downtown Bainbridge which made it really convenient. Would love to stay with Karen again when we're back in town
Karen's place is amazing. It is situated on Eagle Harbor, and affords an amazing view. There are many nice restaurants within a short drive. The ferry to Seattle is only a 35 minute trip. If you want a quiet place to stay, which isn't the usual over-priced hotel in the city, consider this place.
Karen was a thoughtful, relaxed host who made us feel comfortable and able to pursue the kind of vacation we were hoping for. The farmhouse is beautiful, very well-maintained, and full of fun little touches to explore - mini shampoo and conditioners in the bathroom, games in the sitting room, a drawer of delicious teas, and more!
I booked a room at Isle Haven Country Farmhouse for 3 nights for my son who was visiting from California. The house was lovely, quiet, and the hosts were very welcoming. He found his stay enjoyable and will book there again if he returns next summer.
What a great little getaway! Karen was a lovely host. I highly recommend staying here if you are on Bainbridge for the day or a weekend!
