By day I help clients create strong brands and memorable experiences. By night I play music and enjoy all the New Orleans has to offer. I live in the Faubourg St. John neighborhood with my wife and our two dogs, T-Bone and Stanley.

We stayed with Geoff over Mardi Gras and had a wonderful time — it was a cozy, quiet respite. Super easy access to all the festivities, plus Whole Foods, Parkway Bakery and Willie Mae's are all within walking distance. Would definitely stay here again!
We had a lovely stay at the retreat in Bayou St. John. Geoff was an incredible host. He took lots of time to get back to all our questions and give us excellent recommendations for things to do and see in the city, especially for music! The little apartment is private and has everything you need. The iPod loaded with the music is terrific, it really added to our stay. I would highly recommend this place to anyone checking out New Orleans for the first time, and I hope we get to go back soon!
We thoroughly enjoyed the apartment and the neighborhood. It was very quiet, yet convenient for getting around. The apartment being in back made it very private. We didn't have much time to talk to Geoff (the host) but he was very friendly and welcoming.
We had a great stay at Geoff's place! Super cute and comfy little spot in a great neighbourhood. Made us feel super welcome and comfortable and answered any questions we had. Thanks for the great stay.
My boyfriend and I came to NOLA for a small vacation before college resumed. This was our first experience using Air bnb and we will be using it again. Geoff and Karly were both very sweet and accommodating. I spoke with Geoff numerous times before arriving and meeting him and he was always polite and responded promptly. He gave us a lot of recommendations on music and food for our stay. The apartment has everything you could ask for including maps and travel info. Traveling to the quarter and bourbon street was a breeze from the house; it cost about $20 using a taxi for both of us to and from the French Quarter. We cannot wait to make another trip to NOLA and hope to stay here again. Oh and he has a preloaded iPod to listen to if you'd like with great jazz music!
Geoff was very quick to respond and answer any questions that I had about the space. Like all big cities, New Orleans has pockets where the area is not-so-nice and I really appreciated that Geoff provided details how to safely get to the apartment by foot/public transportation. I also liked that Geoff was very thorough with his recommendations, providing multiple options in case my girlfriend and I were looking for different things. The space has lots of character as it still has original hard wood flooring and amazing outdoor space for relaxing. The apartment is in a quieter residential neighborhood with access to the trolley/buses not too far off. A little farther away from the French Quarter but definitely a great location if you plan on exploring other things in New Orleans
If you are looking for the complete New Orleans experience, look no further. I finally understand the phrase "Southern Hospitality." Geoff has created a one of a kind experience that has resulted in our best experience to New Orleans that we have ever had. The space was perfect for our needs and it was exactly what we where looking for. The street was nice, quiet, and beautiful that was easily accessible to everything that we needed and Geoff could not have been more helpful with suggestions and to overall make our trip as nice as possible for us. The access to the house was easy due to great instructions and fast response time. The only regret is that I wish we had more time to spend with Geoff to get to know him and his family. I would highly recommend the retreat and we will be back for another visit.
This was my first Airbnb experience, as well as for my bf. He had his reservations. In the end, we were not disappointed. The accommodations were perfect. We felt so at home. Comfy bed with extra linens, ipod docked to speakers loaded with songs, a fully functioning kitchen, clean (email hidden) seriously couldn't get any better. Great location!! We frequented two areas, the city park and the french quarter, both walk able distance from the apt. We opted for the bus which stops 2 blocks from the apt, and the streetcar 10 minutes away. Geoff was an incredible host. Our most desperate moment came when we were starving one evening. Too tired to travel to the French quarter, Geoff recommended some great places nearby including Cafe Dumont where we had a wonderful feast for New Year Eve dinner. Thanks Geoff...we will definitely spread the word about your place and hope to be back!
A very nice space in a great location. Do not let the description as a single room lead you astray; the ample and clever storage makes the space functionally much larger and very livable. The kitchen is small but serviceable - we baked bread and made pizza as well as cooking shrimp and red beans. In particular, we appreciated the high quality furnishings, extra linens and towels, and the quality kitchen cookware, all of which made our month long stay very pleasant. The location is as good as you can get. Walk to the French Quarter, Bayou St. John, City Park and the Museum. Safe, pleasant, friendly neighborhood. We met and talked with many new friends there, including our hosts. We liked it so much, in fact, we are moving to the neighborhood!
My boyfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience at the retreat in bayou St.John. After a long day of travelling Geoff greeted us and showed us around the place and recommended some places to eat and drink. Lola's in the neighbourhood is fantastic! Which was very appreciated. The place was clean, spacious, and had all the necessities needed for a perfect little vacation for two. We made breakfast in the kitchen every morning then headed down to the French Quarter which is about a 20 minute walk. Geoff has a preloaded iPod ready full of music of New Orleans which is a nice touch in the morning when getting ready or relaxing at night with a glass of wine. Geoff and Karley were lovely hosts who we're welcoming and easy to talk to and gave great tips on things to see and do. We really enjoyed our stay in this cozy and clean little retreat and would definately come back again.
Geoff and his family were great guests!! Very respectful and they even washed the linens and towels. We can't wait for Geoff and his family to visit again.
Karley and Geoff are a delightful couple. We wish they lived alot closer to us. The apartment was nice and clean when they arrived but it was cleaner when they left! Please come back and see us again.
